Me & my family have been going to the Library on Gratiot Ave for about fifteen years even before they moved to its current location in the AMC theater parking complex. The clientele has changed a bit over the years. Several months ago it had been a while since I had been in & I was surprised to discover that they felt compelled to hire a security guard. I know times change, but in a library? However, other than that we have always enjoyed our community library; & they have many family services to fit all ages. Many of the staff still remember my daughter from when I first started taking her to the library when she was little. All in all I am hopeful & always look forward to my trips to the library.

They have fun events for children. We went to see Santa a few years ago and he read stories and the kids got to have a cookie and juice and got to do some cute crafts and play some games and got to pick a prize. I was happy because I was able to get a cute picture of my children with Santa.

Avoid this place. Dirty and unprofessional staff. There's ants and mice in the place because of all the food and filth. There's constantly strange people people coming in causing fights and dirtying the place. That's why they have a security guard on duty. Go to Romeo Plank Library instead. Much more professional staff.

We went here for the cat in the hat event. It was to celebrate Doctor Seuss's birthday. It was really fun. Our kids loved it.
