If you are a collector of Rich Manufacturing Co. toys, this is a place you must visit. The Rich Man. Co. was located in Clinton from 1934 to 1953, the years of the majority of their toy making. The museum has two wonderful Rich collections showing the wide diversity of toys they produced such as, milk wagons, several dollhouses, games, hobby horses and spring suspension horses, a beautiful sailboat, etc. There is also a file of helpful articles about the Rich Co. and a rare catalog of their toys, probably from about 1936. The hours the historical society is open is 9:00-11:00 a.m. Mon.-Fri. and Sunday, 1:00-4:00 pm. While in the area, also visit the Morrison, IL historical society which is about 12 miles across the river. They also have a wonderful Rich toys display and a catalog of the milk wagons and trucks produced in Morrison by the Rich Co. which was located in Morrison from 1928-1934. The Morrison historical society is open 1:00-4:00 p.m. Fri. - Sunday from April through Nov.
