Clearbrook Library is one of the most beautiful and uplifting places in Abbotsford. The centerpiece has to be the golden apple tree outside — it feels straight out of a storybook, like a modern-day reminder of Adam & Eve and the Garden of Eden. It gives the whole Spirit Square a magical, almost sacred energy, especially with the waterfall flowing nearby.nnInside, the library itself is just as inspiring. The massive 30-foot vaulted ceilings make the whole space feel expansive and airy, while the floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light and look directly out onto the golden tree and the square. It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to linger, reflect, and breathe a little deeper.nnThere’s no shortage of comfy seating either — perfect for curling up with a book, relaxing, or even sneaking in a quick cat nap just don’t snore or you might get caught .nnAltogether, it’s not just a library — it’s a sanctuary. A place to recharge, be inspired, and feel connected to something bigger.nnIf I had to give any criticism…they are however…missing a water bottle refill station, like most other public spaces have. So it would be nice to see one installed in the near future.nnBig hugs,nxXx
Cleanliness: 10/10nStaff: 10/10nInventory: 10/10nnToo many good things to say about this library. It is very peaceful if you want to study, has lots of drop in programs for children. Staff always go above and beyond to help.
Wonderful local library & staff.nOn behalf of the Central Fraser Valley Woodcarvers, I'd also like to say 'thanks' for allowing our members to showcase a few of our carvings in the main entrance display case! We were back today, nice to speak with the visitors as we showcased out club and carvings, thanks!
I regularly visit Clearbrook Library and I am thoroughly impressed with its facilities and atmosphere. The space is modern, well-organized, and provides a peaceful environment for reading and studying. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any questions or book recommendations. I particularly appreciated the wide selection of books, from classic literature to the latest bestsellers, as well as the variety of digital resources available. The seating areas are comfortable, and there are plenty of quiet spaces for focused work. The library also offers excellent programs and workshops for all ages, making it a true community hub. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to learn, relax, and explore new ideas. Highly recommended!
Overall half decent public library, the selection is pretty large and there is a huge selection, the main problem is the forced politicalization of parts of the library, particularly the children’s section with representations of only certain worldview ideologies which are not even necessarily the majority and refusing to anything available on others. There are still some good and interesting books here but it’s much harder to find and certain worldviews are more near the front while others are further back Still though this place does offer some great services such as photocopying things for a paper or from a digital file for just a few cents per print which is honestly not bad at all. If it’s the nearest library around and you love books, it’s not all that bad.
