Excellent food at a great price! Been coming here for 5 years and its a great family atmosphere. I don't agree with the low ratings, this is quality food at an affordable price. Happy Holidays!
I had been here a few times throughout the years, but July 2022 will be the last time. I found a small strand of hair on a fried cauliflower bite. I wasn't going to say anything... but then I found an even thicker and longer strand of hair on a fried chicken wing. It was cooked into it. Gross. My partner and I lost our appetite, so we decided to leave. When I brought it up to a server he seemed unsure of what to do and just took my plate away. I told him that I would pay for the drinks but not for the buffet. He went upstairs to get the owner and I showed her the hairs. She began speaking in a different language with the other two servers right in front of me, which was rude. I walked over to the till to wait until they were done talking about the issue. The owner then came up and apologized but demanded that I pay for one buffet, and not two. My partner cut in and told her no because he wasn't satisfied at all with what we were able to eat before discovering the hairs. She was reluctant but in the end I only paid for the drinks and left. Very poor resolve on the owners part. I didn't like that it had to be argued about. She seemed very standoffish. My partner and I drove to a different restaurant on the East side and enjoyed a nice meal there before leaving the city.
first time here. lunch time was the time i visited. a bit busy but the buffet is fully stocked. there is lot of selection regarding the food. breakfast, lunch and salad options are available. breakfast selection is great. would recommend the bacon and pancakes. there is also a dessert bar where its awesome because you draw your own sundae.
In all honesty, this was the worst buffet meal I’ve ever had. The food was terrible: there were thickened and cracking skins on the top of a few dishes, making them look like leftover gravy does when left uncovered in the fridge for several days. There were no fresh vegetables- and no visibly green vegetables- except a bowl of lettuce and cucumber slices at the salad bar. The vegetables they did offer consisted of canned corn and what tasted like mushy canned beans. The sliced roast beef was grey. I thought it was just the lighting until I tasted it. It tasted like it had been reheated a few times and had spoiled. The chicken was so overcooked it was like leather, coming off the bone in sharp tough shards. The battered fish was speckled with dark brown bits that my prior restaurant experience told me signified frying oil that had not been strained to clean it in some time. To make matters worse, the batter against the fish was raw! It was the only thing we tried that was undercooked. Everything else was over cooked to the point of being bland and mushy. It was terrible. To top it off, as we were seated near the staff walkthrough, we were witness to a woman bringing her dessert plate up to one of the staff, telling her there was hair in it. Sure enough, the woman tugged on the long hair and moved the chocolate square across the plate. Ugh! When asked how things were at the end I shared only that that the fish batter was raw inside and everything else was greasy and overcooked. The waitress just nodded as I spoke and said she’d “tell them” but her face showed no surprise. At the checkout, we were not offered a percentage off or even an apology. Never going here again!
Everything I had off the buffet line was good. I had liver and onions. Amazing. With potatos. Their gravy, I suspect, is made in-house. Very good. Warm bread pudding foe desert. Had it alone and a la mode. very good. There are lots of fresh vegetables on the salad bar. Overall, a great little buffet will return for sure!Food: 5/5
Ate there this morning food was fine. My 8 year old daughter went to get ice cream with sprinkles what she didn't realize was there were peanut pieces got mixed in with the sprinkles. She is severely allergic to peanuts. We quickly paid the bill because we needed to get her home. I mentioned it to the waitress she was very dismissive about it. After rushing home and getting my daughter sorted I called back to Classic buffet to report the issue. I asked to speak with a manager and there were none available. So I told the staff member about peanuts mixed in with the sprinkles and he said its the parents responsibility to check food. And that was that.
It must have been tough for the restaurants at this time, but the new meals this buffet provides are surprisingly great, the amount of per set of meal was more than I thought, less options compared to the “dine in” from before but still a generous amount; And it was a lot more simple and convenient, which reduced my worries about any infection issues. Another unexpected new thing was the sample of the “Chinese rainbow roll” that they only give out one for FREE per meal you order, it’s more flavourful than a normal burrito or chicken wraps! If they put it up in the menu I would love to pay for more of it!
I seen some bad reviews but that doesn’t stop me from trying out a new restaurant. It really was not good unfortunately, the only thing that was good was the salad bar. Everything was bland, the chicken and ribs, the roast tasted like it was sitting there for along time. The “roast beef” looked like there was a rainbow on the meat from the reflection of the light. I will never come back here again. If anybody does not want to get stuck with a $50 bill after eating only a few bites than go somewhere else. The 1 star was for the service which was good, the food was not.
The roast beef was on point, and the rest of the buffet was very good too. The pizza, albeit a buffet size cheese variety, had an exceptionally light, airy, and perfectly crisp crust. Dessert bar had great Saskatoon pie and soft serve ice cream. Overall, better than average buffet experience
Used to be good place now it's horrible the quality of food is very bad ate there last night and was sick most of today ontop of that the price is ridiculous
