About 4 years back, I was referred to Bob. Not sure if he still works there, he was fairly old at the time. I was getting contract work in IT, and everyone said I needed to incorporate. So, I did. I then went to Bob to handle the returns and anything else that needed to be done with the corporation. My corp only made 80k that year, so I certainly wasn't rolling in dough.. but Rob became increasingly arrogant toward me over time and less and less helpful. I asked him 3 or 4 times if he could give me an estimate of what my bill would be. He didn't give any figure, just said it would be what anyone else would charge. So, time for the bill.. $2,600. I paid it. Wasn't happy, though. After, he let slip that they normally charge about $1,400. So WHY THE F DID YOU CHARGE ME $2,600? For WHAT? I was the simplest, easiest corporation there could possibly be. 1 person. That's it. Needless to say, I dissolved the corporation after that fiasco experience after one year. Screw that, the product I got from Bob was no where near worth $2,600. Plus, he told me he passed off a lot of the work to an assistant, to "save me a few bucks" so I wouldn't be paying HIS hourly rate. Jesus. Anyway, I'd give a negative 5 rating if I could. Seriously, go elsewhere. Stay away from these guys.

I have been dealing with Clarke Starke & Diegel for more than 15 years and I would highly recommend this organization to anyone or any business. I have had the pleasure of dealing directly with Ellen Murphy for many years now and have found her both personable and professional. Thanks for your many years of fantastic service!

My husband and I went there to file our 2013 tax return. First of all, we never actually saw the person who filed our returns! On the first appointment, she was late, and then we realized she wouldn't come in at all and they set us up with a temporary person. After that, all the communication was via email. She took a month to file our returns (just in time for the deadline), she took a couple of weeks to even answer my emails. And, at the end, they charged us more than the amount they said when we first talked to them (which was already twice the price you would pay in H&R). A few months later, I received a letter from CRA saying that I owe them some money, I emailed the person who filed our taxes, she answered after almost three weeks, saying that this is about the previous year and doesn't have to do anything with what she did. After I talked to a CRA agent, I realized it had everything to do with a mistake she made in our files. Fortunately, I was able to resolve the issue.
If you ask me, you're better off filing your own return.
