CRFHT provides exactly the kind of responsive, high-quality care every community hopes to have access to.nnI had a deep cut on my thumb this weekend and had a really excellent experience at this clinic.nnI called at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, was asked to come at 11:15, and was back at a hockey tournament by 12:30. That kind of efficiency is rare, especially on a weekend.nnA big thank you to Nurse Erica and Dr. Noel. They were calm, professional, and reassuring, and made what could have been a stressful situation feel very manageable. I felt well taken care of from start to finish.nnReally grateful to have access to this kind of care.
Incredibly disappointed. To begin, it was frustrating finding out my family doctor has gone on maternity leave, made worse by the fact that the covering doctor doesn’t provide the same services. However, with good front desk staff, this could have been a manageable inconvenience. Instead, front desk staff took to blaming me instead of offering alternatives, as they are required to do by law. For context, this could be the second time I go into withdrawals due to poor coordination from the clinic, and instead of recognizing how this is not a light situation, the receptionist focused more on alleviating blame rather than understanding and cooperation to find alternatives. Had that been all, I wouldn’t be writing this review. However, when she decided to raise her voice at me, I decided I should say something. Overall, I find her behaviour to be unprofessional and I am disappointed. Unless this clinic invests in the training of their front desk staff, and in better communication, I don’t recommend.
Updated: when a person hasn’t been sleeping for over a month and calls to schedule an appointment but told it’s not an emergency to me that’s an emergency! If it affects your physical and mental health then yes it’s important. Call back Monday morning! This place has changed over the years and the reception desk has no empathy at all!nn*******nnI would like to share concerns regarding my recent experiences with the clinic.nnFirst, I believe the reception desk would benefit from updating its approach to communication, particularly by respecting patients’ preferences regarding pronoun usage. Additionally, I found the response when respectfully requesting that pronouns not be used to be unnecessarily defensive and discourteous. This is something that cannot be known when first addressing a person therefore why not take a neutral approach? They would benefit from training that dates 2026 not 1990.nnI would also like to address my recent medical experience. I have been a patient at this clinic since birth and am now in my 40s, which makes this situation especially disappointing. During several visits in January, at two occasions the same physician repeatedly told me that nothing was wrong. I did not feel this assessment reflected my condition and requested to see another doctor. I was subsequently diagnosed with influenza that progressed into bronchitis and lasted for approximately 7 weeks.nnThis experience was concerning and distressing. It left me feeling unheard and dismissed. I hope the clinic will take this feedback seriously and reflect on how patient concerns are assessed and addressed. All patients deserve to be treated with respect, professionalism, and without judgment.
My family doctor always seems to be on vacation and whenever I need a renewal she is never available.nnThe receptionist went off at me on the phone for not checking my expiration dates even though I can’t renew any of them until they’re empty and aggressively blamed me. The medication I need is very important to my health, and now I may have to wait weeks until I get it, and I’ve been made to seem like it’s all my fault. I will be finding a new doctor.
I'm very grateful for this clinic. We moved to Orleans from Rockland 6 years ago and they still kept us as patients. Staff is always friendly. Everyone is bilingual, which is awesome. Our family doctor was very kind and once she retired, we were lucky enough to be transferred to another doctor who is great. I honestly cannot understand the negative reviews, I have always had positive experiences.
