I’ve had better service from the touts in Thailand. Dispatch stated a flat rate with a stop in town for 11$ Driver charged 23$ claiming the wait time was 2$ a minute. I’d expect something like that would be mentioned before getting into the cab. These guys are crooks and don’t deserve your money. It’s time for Wolfville to get a car share service.
Called a cab. Was quoted twenty minutes. So far I've waited an. Hour and twenty. Each time I've called three times now they tell me, oh sorry someone else took your cab. Not our fault. Sending one now.. Then I see them pick someone else up and tell me to wait. Not impressed. I've been using CJ's taxi since I was a little kid and I'm in my mid thirties now. Never have I had to experience this.. A bit let down for a loyal customer.
They originally told us they would pick us up in 20 mins and we ended up waiting an hour and a half. We called them multiple times during our wait to check the status and they kept saying it would be just a couple of more minutes. As a reference we were going from Acadia to Old Orchard.
So my granddaughter and i stay about 15 mins from wolfville at an air bnb. We use this cab company everytime we come to the valley. We got dropped off on the out skirts of wolfville at light foot winery. 43 dollars which was fine the. We got dropped off 5 minutess down the road for 11 dollars which was fine. But we were a closer to where we were staying when we called the cab to go back to air bnb. The dispatcher said 32 first over the speaker and then changed it to it to 43. It cost over 100 dollars to go about 15 mins each way
They are never on time. I’ve been late for the past three days because dispatch clearly does not understand how time works, in order to give proper estimates. Each day I would call At least 10 mins earlier than the last and still late! Would be told it’s a 15 mins late and 50 mins and 3 calls to dispatch later and they’re “just waiting on someone to clear” Ridiculous…Avoid Cj’s if you can..
Called at 1:27 said it would be 40 mins took an hour didn’t call us to let us know they were here but seen them as we got outside they drove away called back instantly and they said sorry for inconvenience saying they would send another taxi when one’s available…. What about the one that just drive off
I cant recommend this service. The taxi showed up 20 minutes late after being told it would be on time. The cab smelt like strong cigarette smoke, disgusting. When we arrived, the driver shorted me on change. It's for reasons like this, I wish the province would allow Uber to exist.
I’ve taken this taxi service regularly and the drivers constantly rant and complain about working there and their bosses. Not something the customer should have to hear, especially daily. I dread calling for a cab and having a certain few pick me up because of their attitude and they way they’ve handled me in the past with no apology. Their treatment of customers is poor and lacking however they provide accuracy concerning wait time for the cab. Their prices are also extremely expensive!!
Unfortunately CJs is the only option for people wanting to bounce around between the wineries and BnBs/hotels in the Wolfville area without a designated driver. The drivers are ok, but the dispatch is terrible -- wait times are all over the place, sometimes they are very late, sometimes they are early and impatient. They only accept cards via the phone and charge $5.00 per transaction which is criminal. Their rates are exorbitant. Plan ahead, get cash, don't expect much from them.
Absolutely awful wait times. I take this cab company regularly for work because they keep booster seats in the trunk. However, I wish they were honest with wait times. I always call an hour before I need to be somewhere, and somehow still end up late. This needs to stop.
