Taste better than it looks. Family based restaurant. Presentation needs more work. Quality of food is descent. For this price I’d go to more fancy place. It’s worth a try :
My friend and I visited this restaurant for galentines. It's a cozy spot but I think the interiors could definitely use some upgrades or atleast a fresh paint of color. As for the food the quantity and price was reasonable. Flavors were good too. The appetizer Arincini and the dessert creme bruleè were my favorite. I really wished they offered fresh grated parm for the pasta and black pepper like other Italian restaurants. The service was good because the servers were polite. However, I'm not sure they know what they are doing. They might be underage as when I asked if they offer sangrias the waitress asked me if I could let her know what goes into it and she could make me one If you're in the area, and feeling like some Italian, check this place out.
The food was good. The restaurant is older and really needs some updating.Food: 4/5
Food was good crab cakes were smiled on by 2 crabs. Potato cakes is what we got. Linguini came out as spaghetti but was tasty. Lamb shank excellent. Absolutely no decor or atmosphere
The best Italian restaurant in Richmond hill! My family and I love going to Citro. The gnocchi and pene a la vodka are my personal favourites, but really will gladly eat anything on the menu. Fresh, authentic, delicious and reasonably priced. A hidden gem -must try!
Came here for my birthday couple weeks ago and it was absolutely delightful. It was quite on a weekday and everything was fresh and delicious. We ordered two soups – a roasted tomato with feta and another butternut squash. This was followed by a golden beet salad garnished with pomegranate and pine nuts. My husband had the risotto and I, the eggplant pasta. All dishes were so flavourful and beautifully presented. The portion of the main dishes were just right – not too little nor too much. The decor of the place was quaint and cozy. Paintings by local artists were hung around the room and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely go again. Nice to have a good quality Italian restaurant in RH as most of them seem to be in DT.
First and last experience here. Rarely leave bad reviews, but it was just way too expensive for what you get. Also the fact that they ran out of food on a normal Saturday night. Some of our group had to re-choose their dishes twice because they ran out food for the dishes. The food was bland and honestly could have been made at home. Waitress was super nice and it's probably a great local spot, but I'd rather drive the extra 20 minutes and pay a little more for twice the amount of food. The entrees were regular priced but had half the content. Try Farro in Vaughan.
WOW. Best Italian food I’ve ever had!, the owner was so friendly and super fast! New favourite spot!
No complaints, our group really enjoyed dining here. Food was good, large portions, and great desserts. It's definitely different from dining at a large chain restaurant, it feels cozy in the best way. It really is a hidden gem.
Came here today as I was driving in the area. Saw the reviews and gave it a shot. Ordered the grilled calamari and a veggie lasagna. Lasagna was very good with the home made tomatoes sauce but the grilled calamari was a bad choice...and the dressing on the salad was weird. But that lasagna though was GOOD!!!! Portion pretty good enough for a person only.
