Went to Cineplex tonight and honestly had a really good experience overall. The theater itself was clean, the seats were comfortable, and the screen and sound quality made the movie feel immersive from the start. You can tell when a cinema is still putting effort into the actual movie experience, and this location definitely did.nnOne thing that genuinely surprised me was the arcade area. It was way better than expected. The Fast & Furious racing games were actually a lot of fun and the whole arcade section had a great atmosphere. It added a nostalgic feeling to the night instead of just being “go watch a movie and leave.”nnWhen it came to its lobby the environment felt organized and relaxed, and it made for a nice date night experience. Sometimes theaters can feel outdated or empty, but this one still had energy to it.nnFor me this was a great experience, good entertainment beyond just the movie, and definitely a place I’d come back to again.
1/5nWent to Cineplex Welland to watch Project Hail Mary and it completely ruined the experience. The theatre is rundown — torn, dirty curtains on the walls, popcorn and leftover trash in the seats and cupholders.nnThe sound was terrible, felt like a home soundbar instead of a cinema — absolutely ruined the movie for me. The screen was tiny, and the projection only covered about 70% of it, leaving huge gaps on both sides. On top of that, the ceiling looked unsafe.nnI had a similar experience on a previous visit, so it’s clearly not a one-time issue. Cineplex really needs to inspect and fix this location — this is not how a theatre should be.
I had an awesome experience at Cineplex Odeon Seaway Mall Cinemas! The theatre was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere for enjoying a movie.nnThe seats were really comfortable, and the sound and picture quality were excellent—it made the whole experience feel immersive and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and efficient, and everything from buying tickets to getting snacks was quick and easy.nnIt’s a great spot to catch the latest movies with friends or family. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
Within the seaway mall cineplex I have had a great experience every time. Some frequent workers I’ve had a great experience with are Samantha, Matteo, and Sarah. No matter how much of a rush, crowd, or a difficult time of day is, they have always greeted me with a friendly smile and a professional demeanour. Thank you cineplex for hiring the right people!!!!
I don’t know what it is about the Seaway Cineplex location but the past 2 movies I went this month people have been having full conversations, taking literal selfies with flash, and disrupting the entire theatre for the entire length of the movies. Which wouldn’t be such a problem if the staff actually did anything about it, but whenever I have mentioned it to them all they say is “we will send someone” but nothing ever happens. Why are we paying $20+ for such an awful experience and customer service. Theatre has such potential because besides this the staff are typically nice and the recliners are a great feature.
