My friend and I attended a showing on Thursday, February 19 in cinema 10 at 6:45pm. As we climbed the stairs to our seats we saw spilled popcorn along the floor edge of every single seat we went by. This wasn't from one showing, this was from many showings and much of it had been crushed into smaller bits. It looks like whoever is cleaning the theatre is sweeping the walkway but not getting the edge or under the seats and it just lays there. I just wish I had taken some pictures. Vacuums are definitely required. We found popcorn spilled into the back and edges of our seats. It makes me wonder how often the seats are wiped down, if they are.nnThe women's restroom stalls are full of graffiti scratched into paint, this never seems to be rectified.nnI am a frequent attendee but I just had to say something. We left the theatre late and it appeared to be a skeleton crew of younger folks left otherwise I would have asked for a manager. I emailed guest services but so far have not had a reply.nnOn a nicer note, the young folks working there are always polite and friendly.
Way too much $ for popcorn. Ridiculous.nConcessions unaffordable. Seats are great, movie sound way too loud at prelude. As seniors, we are not deaf. No pleasure in being over stimulated. This is not the first complaint, I am sure. Turn it down!
Worst experience at any theatre ever. Staff were talking amongst themselves and seemed bothered to serve us at multiple points. The movie was quiet and the lights were on for the entirety of the film, which ruined the immersion of our horror film. Also the seats are clearly in need of repair, as stated in other reviews, mine was ripped and didn’t recline fully. We spent over $100 for this kind of service. We usually go to landmark but enjoy the arcade games at cineplex locations. We won some extra tickets when we played and staff did not want to add up our points or even tell us how many we won because they said they “couldn’t do quick math.” It ended up being more than double of what they eventually said we had, which would have sucked had we got any prizes. We just decided to leave at that point because the more time we spent discussing prizes the more the staff glared at us in annoyance. 0/10, do not recommend for the price. Sad.
Movie itself was fine, but the seats need to be repaired/replaced. They’ve been in that condition for several years now. Another annoying fact is that the theatre is charging patrons the price for a large popcorn but providing a “regular” sized bag? I actually checked it with 2 old bags that I had from my last visit and the regular sized bag is the exact same that I got last night for a large! This is wrong and I hope cineplex Kingston stops doing this because customers are not stupid and can clearly see what’s going on here…very disappointing
Beautiful theatre with incredibly comfortable seats. Comfortable temperature as well.
