Amazing experience from start to finish in the VIP section, our server at the bar was so attentive and chatty. The food arrived timely just before the start of the movie at our seats. It was really delicious and would rival some well established eateries. Really enjoyed our evening and will be back at this VIP cinema.
The burgers and salads are top notch at the VIP. A little too many tiny tomatoes in the salad for my liking, but it's totally fine. Popcorn is always great and the seats are super comfy with the heat and reclining. Definitely better than the Coquitlam cineplex. Can't see movies any other way now.
Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a movie theatre. I went to Cineplex VIP Park Royal last night and was completely shocked by the conditions and lack of management.nnFirst, we were double charged for popcorn even though we only ordered one. Then, we were told that no hot food like chicken strips or fries could be ordered after 9:30 PM — even though our movie hadn’t started yet.nnAfter buying a large drink which is advertised with free refills, I tried to refill it during the movie, only to find every drink machine shut down. When I went to speak with the manager, I actually saw a rat/mouse run between the manager’s feet in the back food area.nnUnfortunately, that wasn’t the only one. I saw multiple rats/mice around the theatre — one near the garbage, one by another theatre, and even one sitting on the seat next to me eating from my popcorn bag during the movie. Another ran across the entrance as we were leaving — which we did mid-movie because it was so disgusting.nnThere were no staff around, and it felt completely unsupervised. This location is clearly unsafe and unsanitary, and I’ve already reported it for health and safety violations.nnI will never return to this Cineplex, and I’ll be contacting corporate directly about this horrifying experience.
It was a horrible experience. I never like to leave bad reviews but this seemed important. First of all, while purchasing our food the cashier accidentally punched in 2 orders of popcorn and I got to know after I had already paid for it. I politely questioned that and apologised if she heard it wrong but she was super rude and passive aggressive about it and started to bang things around. I still let it go because it doesn’t affect me in any way but then later while we were in the theatre watching our movie, we saw some HUGE RATS just beside our seat in our bag of popcorn. We couldn’t stay after that and literally had to leave in the middle of the movie. This place can do so so much better because having rats in the facility that serves food is never acceptable and it’s definitely not fun if someone gets sick after that.
Stale, old popcorn and this is the view from the seats. This isn’t about seat selection at this point - they shouldn’t even offer these seats as available, especially on a 3D movie.nnPlace was clean, but the expensive and stale popcorn combined with terrible seating layout made this a really poor experience for my family and I.
