Instead of paying online we went to theatre to buy tickets but no cashier was schedule for tickets or customer service. We ended up buying tickets online. Website says that this theatre has reclining seats but this is lie. Seats are old and not reclining. I was tired from travelling and thought that I relax on the recliners but the experience was not comfortable for an older person in a 10pm show. My back got sore.
Been here many a time, theater itself hasn't changed much since it was "The Galaxy" but it has been well kept up, even if perhaps a bit dated now. Seats are comfortable, good leg room, good sound system, and big screens. It's a staple of the NW end.
This place has really gone down. Pre COVID my husband and I came here at least once a month, if not twice a month. In the last few years we have only gone a handful of times - more because of the lack of good movies than COVID. The frozen yogurt we got was a joke! Our friend got the small and the yogurt didn’t even cover the bottom of the bowl. It was shocking how little she got. So she questioned it and the girl gave her more. I had ordered the large and it was half what it used to be. I didn’t complain because I didn’t have time to wait as our movie was starting. The poutine we ordered was about 2/3 what we used to get and cost more. Now you have to pay to buy your tickets online we bought eat the theatre. The start of the movie had James Cameron praising customers for seeing the movie on the big screen as it was meant to be seen. What he fails to understand is that customers will continue to stream the movies at home if all they can expect is to pay more and get far less at the food stand. Not sure we will go back to Normanview Cineplex after last night. Movie was great though- A Man Called Otto.
Normally good, but going to see Avatar 2, the popcorn was stale and very cold. The butter didn't help to make it warmer.
Great place, nice and clean! You never see many employees but those I have talked to were cordial!
This is the best movie I have seen in a long time. You know when you don't check your watch, or think about leaving, that there's something worth staying for. I loved everything about it, the acting, the storyline, the scenery. There's something very gratifying seeing women in a non traditional role. I'm ready to go back and see it again.
Seen the TQQ movie here, and it was fairly empty. Dying movie business means better experience for those who still go.
The theater is fine just something for management to pass along to head office: charging a fee to buy tickets from the app is ridiculous. Don’t use their app just buy tickets at regular price at the theater. They encourage online ticket sales then charge extra for it.. that’s insane.
I saw Raiders of The Lost Ark here on July 27, 2022. I actually couldn't believe Raiders was showing in the theater again! It was awesome to see this movie in the theater again and go back to 1981 when this movie was originally released. An interesting historical perspective on the Lost Ark. I don't know how many times I've seen this movie but it's great every time! I also saw Top Gun: Maverick at Cineplex Cinemas Normanview on the opening premiere day back in May 2022. What a fantastic movie experience here at this theater! I couldn't wait for this sequel after seeing the original Top Gun back in 1986 & this movie didn't disappoint & was totally awesome! James Bond's " No Time To Die" was also great to view here as well. Thank you Cineplex Cinemas. I've always enjoyed my movie experiences here & I'll definitely be back here again!
Overall experience was good but they need to work on cleanliness. Theater was mess with pop corns all around.
