Bison burger and fries were really good. The pork belly was refreshing but lacking flavour noodles. Fish and chips didn’t disappoint. Atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately there were tons of flies and bugs. Every time you take a bite you need to swat with your free hand. Bugs ended up in our drinks and food. Excited to try another dish and drink. Hopefully a seat with less bugs!
The fish and chips are phenomenal, and I don’t even like fish. Probably the best meal I’ve ever had. The coffee is just as incredible! I’m also super excited to go back and try the dill pickle poutine.Food: 5/5
Many people and reviews have recommended this location. Passing through Lacombe on our way home, we finally checked it out. It lived up to the hype. The food was fantastic. I had a grilled chicken noodle bowl. The food was well prepared and presented. A good balance of items in the bowl. A good piece of grilled chicken breast, with lots of veggies and a portion of noodles. Many places pad their dishes with noodles and skimp on other ingredients. The peanut sauce was spicy and flavourful. My wife had the chicken and waffle brunch dish, which came with bacon and a fried egg. A decent size portion. We're not beer drinkers, but if you are, the beer & ale menu runs to six pages! The service was friendly, efficient and attentive. When the first server went on her break, she took the time to introduce her replacement, so we knew we would be looked after. Great food, great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Really amazing place to eat. I've wanted to come by for years, and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. We had the IPA cheese dip and pretzel for an appetizer. We ordered the Stuffed Yorkies for our main and had the creme brulee and chocolate ice cream cake dessert. I also had the flight of Caesars. Everything was super tasty! It was also reasonable in price.
Visited the sunflower valley farm and the farm owner recommended Cliantro and Chives in Lacombe. It was a pleasant experience. Good food. Lovely patio. The best thing was that they mentioned how they have locally sourced the ingredients from nearby farms and Roastery. Courteous staff.Food: 4/5
Was so pleased with this place. Met with my cousin for lunch, with my toddler daughter. Great vibes, family spot or place for drinks with friends. Impressed with non alcoholic menu, never had craft soda! Super fun local swag available. Even though busy, excellent service. Food was delicious. Love the bathroom selfish ha ha!Food: 5/5
This is, by far, the best meal I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time! The Lacombe Days Bison burger was absolutely delicious and the coleslaw was perfectly dressed and tasty. My family had the jalapeño bacon Mac & cheese and the fish & chips and both were amazing as well. Even the kids meals were really good. The server was helpful, attentive, and friendly, not to mention effective. We will definitely be back!
Definately my new favorite restaurant just sooo far away from us. We went to Lacombe location on a refferal from a few people and I gotta say it did not disappoint and only suprized us and made us all love it! We came from Ft.Saskatchewan met family from Calgary there and all had a amazing time there with the neatest best tasting food. Can't wait to go back. Great service and atmosphere. Back patio is awesome aswell. Try the quad burger!! Parking: Excellent main street parking right out front Kid-friendliness: Awesome for kids with board games and coloring ect.
Service was excellent as always, the food on the other hand not so much, we visited a month ago and the food was excellent and the portions were accurate for the price you pay. $32 for a sandwich that was overflowing with beef and a poutine that filled half the plate, tonight the sandwich had half the beef as before and the poutine was this small bowl. We felt bad as we hyped this place up to our family that was visiting from out of town and this was the experience. Thankfully the service is still great. Lastly, it must have been a busy day- or maybe not enough ingredients ordered. 2/4 people at our table couldn’t order their first pick as they had just sold out, cheese dip for a starter was sold out and one side we ordered had to come out late as they had also ran out of Kale, but did bring it out later on. Not sure if we’ll be back as the price just doesn’t reflect the portions anymore in our opinion.
I've seen Cilantro and Chive on social media and decided why not check it out? A couple of friends and I made a mini day trip of it. Popped into a couple of the little shops around town ONA Café, Downton & Co and Blindman Brewery. The service at Cilantro and Chive was fantastic! Server was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. I ordered the bison burger, one friend had the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and the other had the philly cheese sandwich with a poutine. We all ordered a Caesar 2 garlic and one bacon and we all really enjoyed them. If you are ever in Lacombe or passing by, it is worth a stop to grab something to eat. Thank you for a tasty meal Cilantro & Chive!
