Guys, I gotta say that very few things leave me speechless and this says a lot in our line of work. However, I can't even use the words delicious, delectable, mouthwatering, since those words are an understatement. This food is so delicious I feel guilty eating it. This gentleman should really consider opening his own culinary school and teaching people to how make fine cuisine. I would bet that even Gordon Ramsay would be impressed by the fine dining dishes served by this exquisite restaurant. My fav dishes so far are the Icelandic cuisine and Russian dishes. Forget recommend...I demand that you try out Chunky's fine dining cuisine and you will echo my own words here.

The food was amazing I recommend this to anybody who has not even tried different foods there are foods that surprised me that I have never thought I would like but he made it so tasty I loved every dish that I had

Awesome food, awesome portions, great price and great service! They gave me complimentary ice cream and cookies with my takeout meal! If you’re on the fence, hop off and try it out!

A hidden gem! Food is delicious, filling, and very reasonably priced. And beautifully presented. Service is warm and welcoming.

Had the pleasure of accidentally stumbling into the shop. Chunky is the owner of this new restaurant, and makes everything. I had the Donair wrap and wow is it TASTY. The donair and fillings were the stars, but the wrap itself was mucho delissioso and even the bigger star! Never knew that was possible. If you haven’t checked it out, you should! I will definitely be back to try other things.

It was an absolute honour to be invited by Chef Nicolas to the appreciation dinner for Chunky Kitchen Cafe. The atmosphere was welcoming as soon as you walk in the door, and the food, OMG the food! From carrot and ginger soup, to a wonderfully crisp butter lettuce salad, to and my personal fav. escargot, to braised ribs, to baked Alaska! My stomach is full and my taste buds may never appreciate anything else from this moment forward. Side note, they also offer catering. With only 2 days notice, Chef Nic and his team catered a full on delicious breakfast for over 150 of my tenants. I will recommend Chunky Kitchen until I am blue in the face. 5 stars across the whole board.

The service and the food were top shelf. They created beautiful vegan food and with short notice. I loved every bit of the 3 course meal, I felt spoiled. The vegan creme brulè was a special treat at the end. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you for everything

The food is always really good, the prices are low, the portion size is large, and the owner is so incredibly nice! And by buying from Chunky Kitchen Café, you’re supporting a locally-owned small business! Also, I would sell my soul for an order of vegan gumbo and stir-fried vegetable quinoa!!

Very glad my husband found this place , everything and yes, everything is made fresh and as my friend the owner said, « all good food takes time. » We truly enjoy the food jerk chicken, ratatouille, Cajun chicken, jambalaya, breakfast sandwich, wrap, etc, yes, we went back and back for the few days we were in Victoria. Also, our friend gave us desserts and homemade granola and fruit salad on the house. My friend said, «it is better than paying for advertisement. » Enjoyed chatting with our friend, chatting about life, parenting, positive attitude, working hard, and his parents we both got a lot of advice from my friend’s dad. Glad to have made a friend. As I told my friend, I will definitely tell my friends about Chunky Kitchen and if I go back to Victoria, he knows I will go for a meal. And a visit!! Enjoy today my friend and thank you for feeding us well!! BTW, I am not the kind who write reviews often unless it is pretty special, over and above.
