Oh man were these good! Hit the spot!!! They have an assortment of hot dogs, cheese, coatings and toppings. My favourite toppings are the butter garlic powder, hot sauce and sweet chilli! For coatings I chose potato for one and corn flakes for the other. Keep in mind, these are very filling so if you're wanting to try a few different ones, take a few friends with you :
I got the sweet potato hot dog, it was good, just average honestly. My friends tried double cheese and half mozarella and I think they were better. Service was kind of slow, there is usually a line up, but I think you can also order using their app.Food: 4/5
Yummy food, I ordered the Volcano and Squid Ink hotdog. The volcano is chicken based with chopped jalapeños inside, while the squid ink is half mozzarella and half hot dog. Nice salty taste, cute squid style. There aren’t any places to sit down and eat the food you ordered. You walk up and order it for take out only. Otherwise if there were seats, I would give 5 stars
I had the squid ink cheese, it was really tasty! Batter was not too heavy, great crunch, and it was great with the variety of sauces you could choose from. Perfect cheese pull too. The line was long, but the staff were very organized and kept it going like a well run machine. Prices are not bad, so it's great for a snack or small meal if you want it to be. My only gripe would be that the sausage is fairly salty. I'd recommend some sweeter/tart toppings to balance it out. I'm glad I had asked for the sugar with ketchup and mayo. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely consider trying more from their menu.
I'm torn on this one because of the long wait time - maybe 20mins to get an Asian corn dog. Was it yummy? Sure. Was it worth the wait? Questionable. It's worth trying at least once. It has a great location on the corner of Robson and Denman in downtown Vancouver. Service was organized and great though. Like a lot of other people mentioned- they are working hard inside.
My co-worker was set on getting some cheese dogs while we were in town, and while I love a corndog once in a while I was skeptical until I randomly walked by and saw a huge line up. We conspired to go the next day during a 45 minute break we had right around the time they opened 11:30, and while I wasn't sure it was the best use of time, I was happily corrected after enjoying the "squid dog". Great crunch, gooey stretchy cheese and a flavorful dog made for a fun snack. My co-worker ordered two and couldn't finish the second one, they're very filling.
A combination of word-of-mouth and videos by a certain influencer on YouTube convinced us to try out Chungchun’s rice hotdog. Not really a hot dog person but Chungchun changed my mind about them and now, I like them more! We ordered food from them through Uber Eats and we got the Chungchun combo which comprised of four different hot dogs which were the squid ink cheese, sweet potato, ramen chip and gamsung potato hotdogs. We loved how the hot dogs were presented especially the squid ink cheese hotdog which were made to look like squid tentacles at the bottom. Even the “tentacles” had a bit of crisp to them like the tentacles of a squid that has been fried to perfection. All hotdogs, which were massive and came with copious amounts of ketchup and mustard, were delicious and filling. In terms of which one’s the best, it was a tie between the sweet potato and the squid ink cheese. All hotdogs had a crispy texture where they needed to be. Although pricey for a rice hotdog, overall, we were happy with Chungchun and we’d definitely buy food from them again!
For sure a unique way of having your hot dog fix. Sort of a corn dog style but it’s basically various ingredients covered in a batter and deep fried. They have chocolate, mozzarella, half wiener half cheese, fudge, ice cream and much more and each stick has a colour to indicate what kind it is. Very yummy and always lineups.
This is a super treat for the people who likes delicious street food and leaves the carb count at home like I do : As tiny as it can be this place is a great find in robson street. The “hot dogs” are way more than that! They have a big variety of combinations of cheeses, sausages and etc. GREAT taste and a fantastic size. Usually one is enough for one person but I can eat two.. following my motto “enjoy now repent later”. We tried the mozzarella/cheddar combo with potatoes, without potatoes and with sweet potato. All excellent! Ah! You MUST try the chocolate one.. it is amazing We have been back twice. Quite organized: one like to order one line to pickup. You pickup and go to the park to enjoy.
We went there two days in a row. First time we had the half mozzarella half sausage. Second time we had the whole mozzarella and added potatoes cubes which I think was absolutely worthwhile. Go for the sweet mayo and garlic butter toppings.Yum!!!
