First time ever dining here last night..Friday night... not packed but 80% capacity... greeting while waiting for a tables was odd... not unfriendly but not really courteous or professional. A wonderful lady explained my table's actual waitress was swamped and that she would help me instead.... Ordered 10oz new york peppercorn steak asked for well done and server suggested medium rare. Steak came barely medium... very red and bloody with a peppercorn/bbq sauce and feta cheese crumble... flavour of sauce was odd at first but actually quite good once I accepted that it was not traditional peppercorn sauce. I regretted not insisting on well done steak as I don't like bloody steak. I was very hungry and chose to just eat it...a few nice ribbons of flavorful fat would have been edible if the steak were more well done and I think a well done outer crust would have been nice...however...the steak was pretty good in spite of it being chewier than I like... fries, corn on cob and cold beer all very good. The server brought me bill and I asked if she would get the tip...she answered "no" the tables server would...I said that I only interacted with her twice and she was unpleasant and I gave the actual server cash tip and zero for the "table server"... so overall a pretty confusing experience... I will try again before writing this place off
We ate here the other day for my Father's birthday and it was honestly SO amazing! Alex was our server and she went out of her way to accommodate all of our allergies which sadly there are many and never once made us feel like a bother, or like we were annoying which we definitely were!. Not only that, but the food came out quickly and was incredible. We will definitely be back!!
The only reason I still come here is because of Nick. He seems to fix any inconvenience with a positive attitude. Any time something goes wrong he makes sure to solve it so I still walk out the door with a smile. Thank you for always providing such attentive service and making the BEST drinks in town. I always tell my friends to ask for Nick at the bar because he creates such a great experience. His recommendations for drinks and the food menu continuously match my cravings. 10/10 for Nick, highly recommend!
Let me start by saying I'm a fan of the restaurant, but it's been degrading each visit We had a long wait for a table with nobody ahead of us and a half empty restaurant. Nobody bothered to look over for about 10 minutes. Our burgers were both soooo dry; way over cooked. They bother asking if we wanted another drink, we had to ask when they came to clear our old dishes. I asked for a water and they brought a warm sprite or 7-up, but then I didn't see anybody ever again to change change it. I literally waiting over an hour before anybody even looked at us again so I could their attention to get my bill at that point, let alone get an actual water. Once I did, THEY STILL FORGOT TO BRING IT. After another 10 minutes I had to ask again. Over two hours for two of to have a burger and a couple of drinks. This location is NOT recommended.
Reading the reviews here I can only think to myself that for every ten great experiences you will only hear about the one bad one; take them with a grain of salt. This is fine pub fare with excellent staff, and a relaxed atmosphere where you can unwind after your day. I prefer the steak bites med rare, and served with Nikki's smile.
Shared a wonderful family day dinner with 10 of us at this location. Our waitress, Alex, was wonderful. She was very attentive to 4 youngsters, and asked if we wanted their food order to come first, which was great, didn't think of asking for this. The rest of us had steak dinners, some were a little under or overdone than we expected, but overall the food was delish. She brought a pitcher of Ice tea when a couple of us asked for refills. No complaints at all. Kid-friendliness: Waitress attentive to children's needs.
If I can write a review and put ZERO stars,I would… one of the worst food experiences ever! From the food to the service. Where do I start with the food! The naan that comes with the spinach and cheese dip was so burnt that we had to send it back and they replaced it with less than it came out with before. The fries were burnt, steak was over cooked and dry. Even the ribs and wings were burnt and dry! Overall the money that we spent was TOTALLY WASTED… And on top of wasting hard earned money on food that tasted horrible, the service as well was horrible.
This complaint is for the owner. I just left the restaurant with my daughter who lives in Bradford. there was 3 of us that came for lunch. I live in Edmonton Alberta. I come here to visit my daughter. I have gone to the restaurant many times in the past and most of the time it's been good. Today not so much. We arrived at 1150 am. Amanda was the waitress. The place was understaffed bigtime. she was the only waitress on duty and it was pretty busy being fathers day.At 1pm we still haven't received our meals. I had to tell Amanda that we had to leave because I have a flight leaving to go back to Alberta from Hamilton Airport. I told Amanda that I know this isn't her fault. she said she tried calling the owner but he didn't reply to her. I feel bad for her as she was by herself trying her best to accomadate all the customers. She definitely looked overwhelmed with everything. She shouldn't have to deal with this. If the owner would have scheduled properly.i for one would have gotten my meal but jow I have to go to airport without eating. I do hope Amanda is compensated for doing the job of multiple people. I had the pleasure of dining at Chucks Roadhouse recently, and I have to say that Alex and Carrie provided some of the best service I've ever experienced. They were both extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great dining experience. Thank you, Alex and Carrie, for your outstanding service!
First time at this location. We finished playing hockey at the nearby rink and wanted to grab a bite to eat with our team. The hostess Aliya was very welcoming and accommodating. Originally we started off with about 12-14 people but ended up with around 22. Our server Niki was great at dealing with a bunch of 11 year olds and parents. She was also very friendly and helpful with the menu. Our group was very pleased with the service and food. It was a fun and enjoyable experience.
