Next Level Pizza! Easily among the best Pizza in Michigan. So far I have had their Deep Dish and shown here their "Pretzel Crust" Pizza. This blows away any of your big chain store Pizza.. much much better ingredients. Look at the Mozzarella! This is easily as good if not better than Buddys. Their Deep Dish crust is like the 1980's Pizza Hut Butter-Pan Deep dish but with better ingredients. So far has been consistent. Price is not cheap but this can not be be compared to the Big Box chains.
Food was hit or miss. Maybe just a bad night or understaffed? All the pizzas seemed to be very light on cheese. We were missing 3 items from our order even though the receipt had checkmarks next to each item and I asked when I picked the order up that we got all sauces and food. Sure enough I got home and several items missing including a whole order of breadsticks and two sauces that we paid extra for. Pretzel pizza didn’t really taste like much of anything. Nacho cheese was either missing or no flavor. This was the reason we wanted to try Chubby Charlie’s and it turned out disappointing. Americano Stromboli was awesome. Very good and would happily order it again. BLT pizza was good but not a lot of mayo, bacon, or cheese on it which meant it was fairly bland. Caprese pizza was not good. The spinach was black and wilted from the oven in many places so it crumbled into your mouth with each bite. Formagi cheese bread was very good. Tiramisu and cannolis were both quite good. Far better than expected from a pizza place!
I called my order in for a carry out, the guy on the phone was very polite and my pizza was ready in a timely manner. I would never have thought of dill pickles on a pizza but I was very impressed. The first bite seemed extra salty, but then maybe I got used to it because it didn't seem as salty. If you like well done crust you'll have to ask for it, the crust was on the lighter side. I really did like the cheese they use. The cheese was not all stringy but it stayed in place to get cheesy goodness with every bite.
This is what I was given tonight when I ordered a dinner. It was burnt and smelled like it. It was not edible it went into the garbage! Called and spoke to Griffin the manager. Waiting for a refund!
I normally don’t write positive reviews for negative experiences, but the manager was very professional Kevin I believe was his name, my order was delivered after 2 hours and my food was cold as ice but the team was working their tails off to do things right, he gave me a hefty discount. The food is normally very good, just a little cold this time. Hope this message finds your team well. I will continue to be a customer and appreciate the great customer service.
I'm going to give the place a pass for maybe a bad night and it was 40min before closing when I ordered. We found this place when we door dashed and we tried them before and they were great!! Tonight not so much. Not only did they not give us the flavored crust we ordered and he relayed back to me over the phone but the pizza was just bland. If I wanted bland pizza I'd called dominoes or hungry Howie's. Hoping I got a bad night from them and we'll give em another chance and see if next visit is better, but I'm noticing alot of places that use to be great are going downhill either from cutting costs or lack of help. Hopefully this place doesn't fall into that trap. Mushrooms weren't evenly placed just thrown one area and hardly any on other areas and just a boring bland tasting pizza. I'll update on the next try if things improve.
My go to place is closed today. So we tried a new place. Really liked the pizza. The pickle pizza sounds gross but it’s very good. I highly recommend this pizza place. The person that answered the phone was funny and nice. I’ll be back again.
Love Chubby Charlie’s but I will say my fiancé got the pretzel pizza &paid $3 for 2x extra nacho cheese on it and it seemed like it had no more than a normal amount really their wasn’t much on it at all so instead of paying for extra on it next time would pay for extra cheese on the side but our breadsticks and service was great and everything was cooked nicely!
Completely blown away! We ordered the chicken parm deep dish and the pickle pizza. Both were delicious! I can’t wait to try more of their unique pizzas!
Was at work late and decided to order from Chubby Charlies. The meal was great and delivered right on time by SnappyEats Delivery ! The only thing I would change is having the pizza sauce warm to go with the food.
