I'm looking forward to coming back to Syracuse just to eat at this restaurant! I had one of the mao specials with the fatty beef and the soup dumplings. Everything was so flavorful, I couldn't stop eating! The portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to come back.
Authentic high quality asian food. Extremely worth the money. Love the server there as well.
One of the best Sichuan restaurants out there. We were visiting from Boston, which has no shortage of great and authentic Sichuan spots, and Chuan Taste stands up to all of them. We ordered the chilled cucumber salad, Mapo Doufu, and Beef Dry Hot Pot, all extra spicy. Every dish exceeded our expectations, and we were thankful that they delivered authentic levels of spice. Cannot stress enough how delicious everything was, especially the Mapo Doufu. Portions were very generous too. The owner was incredibly kind and sweet. Since we were eating near the end of service, she asked if we'd like any beer, and then offered to run across the street to grab a six pack. Covid has been tough on this business, as much of their customer base was international students who have now gone home. Really really recommend this spot if you're in the area or just passing through - show them some love and support, they really do deserve it!! Posted this review on Yelp but just wanted to give them a shoutout through here too!
Great food and very nice lady owner. I had thee braised sauce mix of chicken and beef. This was enough for two people.
Amazing place to eat noodles! We asked for spicy veggie noodle soup and the owner was extremely friendly and willing to let us customize the dish exactly how we liked it! I would definitely visit again if I pass through Syracuse again.
Truly outstanding! Owner was very kind, friendly and the food was great. Easily one of the best Chinese places I’ve been to in Syracuse!
Food sucked. Literally had to dream my food in hot sauce. It was flavorless, and rushed. Wouldn’t order again
4/16/2022 We went to a college open house at Syracuse University. After the tour, we were hungry and just Google for a restaurant to quickly eat and be back to the city. We found this restaurant, oh my god! Their fried rice was so amazing! My son and my nephew both ordered the fried rice, I tried it and so regret that I didn’t order one for myself. Both boys didn’t want to share some of their fried rice to me. They finished the whole plate. It was sooo good! My husband and I ordered the spicy fish fillet, it was also delicious too and it’s not pricy. The woman I think she’s the boss was very friendly and talked to us about the college. FYI, the water bottle is NOT free.
I work near Marshall street and come here pretty frequently. Everything I’ve gotten has been fantastic. I often get dishes with fish the dry pot, spicy crispy fish, fish and mustard green soup, madam song soup and all of them are amazing every time. The portions are very generous; I occasionally split an entree with a friend and it’s definitely enough for us both. The owner is absolutely lovely and always makes it a great experience.
So delicious dry pot here! Though inside was a little bit hot, the staff was so kind and welcoming. One of the best lunches that I had in Syracuse.
