Chris Collins Plumbing

We had Chris come out to do a pretty complicated job--a mess left by a contractor who had bilked us out of money and tried to do work he was not capable of doing. He was thoughtful and thorough in his investigations and approached the job with an engineering mind. He solved the problems left by the other guy. He installed an apron tub and tub filler, and hooked up a two sink vanity when there was only one hook up. Every professional who has looked at his work is extremely impressed. It's very neat and tidy work. He is also very polite and communicative. We'll definitely call him up again when we get to replacing out corroding galvanized pipes.

My family has been so fortunate to find Chris and Matt to do all of our plumbing needs. We had them come out for a clogged drain and they took the time and care to do it right and thoroughly. Due to our older pipes and lots of hair, they had to come out a year or two later to do the same thing. Again, same attention to detail and care. They also did a handy and creative repair to our upstairs shower unit making it useable! We hadn't used that shower for FOUR YEARS and they got it completely operational. They've done a faucet replacement, shower head replacement, you name it. All perfectly. Chris and Matt are extremely hard working, dedicated and extremely personable. My mother in law had a broken toilet and the problem was solved with no problem. Top notch folks. Delmar is LUCKY to have such professionals in the area.

I called Chris, received voicemail, days later I left another voicemail, days later he calls back and provides a cell number to call. I call that and leave yet another voice mail, no response for days, I call again, voice mail, he calls back a minutes later. I am 5 minutes from his house...schedules me out almost a week later as if its that difficult to poke his head in for $1,000 +- job . Shows up, looks at the job, does not take notes, ask me to write up the scope of work for him, which I did and emailed it the day after Independence day so he could enjoy the holiday (so about 5 days lost again). It is now July 9th and this completely unprofessional "plumber" makes up a lame excuse about a pinched nerve and cannot do the work.... no timeline, like a pinched nerve will simply put him out of business. I never pestered him, extremely polite to him with every interaction. I hire trades people daily for our business for decades- I can tell you that this is not a "master" plumber, he just a disheveled guy in a messy van and a completely disorganized method of conducting business. His positive reviews are either staged or from the completely unknowing folks who may have had extremely basic work and stroke of luck that day with Chris Collins. I had other plumbers lined up but I did not want to pull the work from Chris as he said he would give me a quote, and yet he just strung me along. Now my family in from overseas is without the use of the bathroom and bedroom. Way to go Chris!

My family and I returned from vacation to find a leaking pipe in our basement. Fortunately, Chris Collins was able to fix it the same day - very much appreciated. We have used Chris' services several times now and have always been impressed by his responsiveness, expertise and professionalism. Highly recommended!
