Reviews seem mixed, but our experience was excellent. Party of 8 on a slow night, so I was wondering if we'd get food that had been sitting waiting for customers. But no, everything was hot, fresh, and excellent. The best food I remember getting there since my first visit back in 1988. I had soured on the food from the previous owners, but possible these new owners, even with a few hiccups, will consistently outshine what came before.
Was disappointed in the food....wings were good but chow mein and fried rice were lacking ....neither dish had any vegetables in it and the chicken was pretty much missing from rice...will not be going backFood: 2/5
Tried this restaurant for the first time for take out. Shrimp and vegetables were quite good however, rest of items were very disappointing especially the lemon chicken which was more like fried wonton. Only one piece seemed to have chicken in it and it was shredded and dry. Nice staff just not very good food.Food: 2/5
The service was terrible. The host was unfriendly. The food had absolutely no flavour at all. Rice tasted old and vegetables were almost raw. Waste of money. The meal was expensive as well. We will never be going back there.
Food was delicious. Restaurant was quiet when we were there and the service was super quick.
Never again. Spring rolls looked right but were bundles of noodles. 'Ginger beef' wasn't. Disappointing. Chicken balls were good, so 1 star. Wasted money. Never again.
This is a wonderful place ! Susie is the nicest and kindest host, so much hospitality the second your walk through the door! The food is a 10/10 and they have an amazing nice special. Super fast and efficient service and very cute decor, would recommend this place to anyone and everyone please come by you will not be disappointed!!!
Experienced this location for the first time in many years. Moving back to Hanover after 25 years in Toronto and wanted to see if it was any good, being spoiled with great variety in Toronto. The quality of the food was actually very good. The taste and flavours, along with portion size was good for the price. However only 3 stars as both meat dishes one chicken, one beef were mainly vegetables, and mainly onions with very little celery, green peppers, carrots. It was mainly onions, with a little of the other vegetable and VERY little meat proteins. Would try this place again but order something else to test it out again.
The food was inedible it was horrible. Never seen spring rolls made jam packed with rice noodles and no flavor. None of the food had any flavor, sad because 5 years ago this place was great but now on July 2022 it is really bad. Never ever ever again unless they actually hire a chef who knows how to cook Chinese food the way it should be made. Worst place in Hanover lets be real worst place in Grey Bruce. Sad.
I've ordered from here a few times, and almost always ends up disappointed. The lemon chicken is paper thin, with a half inch of beating all the war around it.. and overcooked to the point of not being able to chew it for fear of losing a tooth. The noodles were dry, and some were almost the consistency of raw Ramen noodles. The chicken wings tasted great, but again, overcooked and hard as a rock. Egg rolls used to be good, but are now nearly empty, and mostly batter. Disappointing. For what I spent, I would expect to have eaten something other than breading and dry noodles.
