My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County, VT. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and beef teriyaki sticks. Price: $21.46 or $.32/oz is on the higher end of average compared to what we find in Chittenden County. Portion: 4.1 lbs between the two meals which is average in this region. Pros: - Convenient location next to the drive-in movie theater in Colchester. - The sesame chicken was delicious, rich with flavor - The chicken & broccoli was very tasty and distinct among Chinese takeouts in our area. - Provided 2 forks Cons: - They didn't provide soy sauce or duck sauce packets, napkins or fortune cookies - The pork fried rice flavor was average. I must say, I was a bit disappointed having had delicious pork fried rice at Chopstick House back in the summer Impression: Convenient location in Colchester next to the drive-in theater offering average sized portions of generally good tasting food at a reasonable price earning Chopstick House II a review of 3.5 stars.
When we went they only offered takeout. The staff we did interact with were very easy to communicate with. The food was different from a typical Chinese restaurant, and I felt like it was a bit more authentic. The food got mixed reactions in my family. Overall though, the food was decent.
Spent 50.00 and the pork fried rice was very bland. The chicken fingers were small and overcooked.the boneless ribs were not sweet and tasted very bland also. But the crab Rangoon were ok. No cookies and no sauces in bag. Tell you the truth everything tasted like cardboard. Not going there again!!
Great old fashion extensive menu. Delicious Hot & Sour Soup with lots of tofu. Good combination plates for dinner. Will definitely come back for more.
The owners are so nice. I've liked everything I've had there. Their hot & sour soup is THE BEST.
Great family! There brown sauce is awesome!! We always have a great experience eating their food. They’ve also made it very easy to order safely during the pandemic. Ordered the Treasure Island, Bean Curd Family Style and Scallops and Broccoli!
Absolutely horrendous experience. You have to give a car description for nothing because they leave you sitting out there FOREVER! Then when you finally get someone to bring you your food to your car they don’t give you anything. No soy, no napkins, not even a fortune cookie. Then when you ask for any of the above you get a rude look. Get home to my fortune cookies stale and smells like moisture and mold. And duck sauce spilled all over everything else. Food was dry and flavorless. Would recommend cooking for yourself because they Cannot Cook.
I've been coming to this place since 2006 and I've never had an issue. The food is always amazing fresh never dry. The staff are friendly respectful hard working too. How ever last night my fiance and I ordered the same food we always do but the chicken was questionable it seemed chewyer then usual but I couldn't see due to the sauce all over. Hour later after eating it hit me and I've been sick since. So I'm not sure if the food did this but even my fiance felt horrible after eating it and was going thru the symptoms of food poisoning as well. But beside this one time I've NEVER had an issue with their food being bad or overpriced or small portioned. You get your money's worth for sure!!!!
Fantastic Chinese food! This place has some of the best lo mien I've ever had, and I absolutely love the soups that there are to offer. The pu pu platter is amazing and the people are very nice. We eat here at least once a month and would definitely recommend that others eat here as well.
The food harkens back to the dark days when Chinese restaurants tried to find some association with American tastes with overpowering sweet and salty dishes in a thick brown sauce. If you are lucky enough to find vegetables in your dish, it will likely be the same standard affair of broccoli and carrots. If nuts go into the dish don't expect it to contain anything more than peanuts. So disappointed I ended up throwing most of it away. You're sure to do a whole lot better just cooking it yourself.
