Chocolate Tofino has an awesome array of made in house gourmet chocolates and truffles AND ice cream. I tried some chocolates which were delicious, but I also had a scoop of ice cream. Even if you want one scoop, the staff are so kind as to give you two flavours. The mint chocolate flake was so fresh with the perfect crunch for those who like mint ice cream. I also loved the dutch chocolate. I highly recommend the chocolate flavours given that the store specializes in chocolate.
VERY tasty vegan ice cream, some of the best I’ve had - and I’ve been dairy free my whole life. They take allergies seriously and we’re able to accommodate my request of scooping from a fresh container to avoid cross contamination. Cute little shop located near a few food options, surf shop, grocery store, etc.
Cute place with lots of locally made chocolate using lots of local ingredients from the island since the pandemic, they have changed the layout of the store but still have lots of chocolate and gelato options. I got a bunch of different bark chocolate as well as the Hazelnut rainforest crispy log, which I ate right away and it was delicious Gravel parking lots makes it easy to access. Lots of parking. Entrance is on the back side of the building furthest from the road through the blue door. Right now it's max 2 groups inside at the same time. There wasn't anyone else there when we visited. There's a bunch of dark 62% and 70%, milk and white chocolate options. There's also vegan chocolate and gelato options
This is our favorite place to stop at after a nice day on the waves and playing on the beach . If you haven't been here yet, then you are definitely missing out on some of the best chocolates and Gelato on the island, perhaps Canada.. Don't worry if you see a line up, it moves pretty quick and gives you time to decide which flavors to try. Almost everything is locally sourced and there are gluten and dairy free options so nobody has an excuse to miss out. Awesome and knowledgeable staff make the experience that much better and they can help you decide as they are the ones making it from scratch. Decisions, decisions...took a friend that was visiting from Toronto and he was blown away with the options and flavors. My daughter enjoyed her Gelato in a waffle bowl with a mini chocolate surfboard in it. I can't tell you which flavor of Gelato to try but I can tell you it's like angels dancing on your tongue and I've tried a few flavors and all of em are bangers!! The only way this place could disappoint you, would be to show up when it's closed. Highly highly recommend, you can thank me later...enjoy!!
Cute little place in nice location, locally prepared and has a variety of chocolates and gelato. The place mentioned it was closing at 9 but when we reached there around 8 it was already closed. Happened twice in a week. A little bit of wait to get in, but if you are visiting TOFINO don’t miss out this place!
When I imagine a quintessential chocolate boutique, Chocolate Tofino checks all the boxes. They have a carefully curated selection of chocolates ranging from barks to truffles to shaped figures, all are wonderfully flavored and expertly crafted. We even got to meet one of the chocolate makers who gave us her opinion of which chocolates to buy! I was impressed with their small batches of seasonal offerings and super happy to see they have a drinking chocolate: Elixir. The Elixir is smooth and decadant, so the 4 ounce serving was plenty to share between two people. I am so excited to try all the amazing chocolates and truffles we bought! Don't forget that they also serve high quality gelato in a range of delicious flavors. There were so many to choose from! I ultimately picked the Salted Caramel Sundae and am so glad I did. Smooth caramel salted with Vancouver Island sea salt flecked with chocolate flakes, served in a waffle cup and a chocolate surf board stuck in. So cute and so tasty! I recommend having the waffle cup dipped in chocolate. The surf board has a wonderful snap and is great for scooping out the last bits of gelato. All in all, this is a wonderful Tofino experience that should not be missed!
This place is the very best for homemade ice-creams!! All super tasty and so unique, I had tried gingerbread cookie dough and egg nog and candy cane for Christmas it is amazing!!! A bonus for the honey lavender that is my special favorite
Did not expect a long lineup on a rainy day but it was worth it. Generous scoops. We order 3 double scoops in a waffle cup and we didn't have room to eat our dinner takeout. My favorite is Lavender honey which is more honey dominant but in a good way. My other half loved the Maple Pecan Praline, which says a lot as he loves chocolate. Hammerhead is light and minty but not my favorite. Sundaes comes with the dark chocolate surfboard. Going back for the Mojito sorbet next time. Tip- Plenty of seating by the back fence. I spot 5 tables, great when it's sunny as there's no awning.
If you come to Tofino and didn't have ice cream here, then you are missing a big time . 1. Strawberry-mango sorbet is so underrated..why!!! This flavor is amazing! 2. Vegan salted caramel is delicious too. 3. Masala chai truffle is a must . Don't miss these above three flavors. Thank me later
The staff was so so nice and lovely. The flavour selection there is phenomenal. Such interesting and tasty gelato. It’s a must go to in Tofino.
