Been using chit chats for years and it's way better than using Canada Post. One downside to this location is that they no longer have computers and label printers for you to use. You have to print them from home. If you want them to print a label for you, it costs extra. This is more just a drop off location now.
I’m a longtime customer who has followed chitchats from Chinatown to queens quay to their second location on Adelaide. Downtown staff are great - friendly and professional - no complaints there. One star is for the lack of accessibility- have been waiting over a year since the move in March 2021 for them to reinstall the access button that automatically opens the door for walkers and wheelchairs. Have heard every excuse building management has to approve it, contractor on vacation, covid, waiting for a part, the chitchats parent company wants to do all branch locations at once and a lot of empty promises. It’s 2022 - time to do better for us folks with disabilities.
Sent important documents to India through Chitchat. Was given a time frame of 8-22 days for delivery. Despite passing of 1 month package is neither delivered nor is there any tracking update . After writing to Chitchat there reply was that since you did not buy any insurance nothing can be done . Very very disappointed. Don’t waste your money and time . Follow Up : On request of the Chitchat Owner I have sent the tracking number once gain to support team to find out if they can track my packet. Lets see what there response is second time round...and I will post an update
Expect 2-5 days before your item hits the US postal system. Prices are fairly expensive now and service has gone down a lot. My last edit: I just received an email which effectively ends Chit Chats in all circumstances for me. They will no longer accept USPS First Class and USPS Priority Mail, which was the sole reason I ever got excited about them in the first place. I suppose we only have Stallion Express now. I've had to mostly stop using Chit Chats. :- They just have lost all of their former reliability and I don't really know why. Further: It isn't even sporadically next day anymore. Consistently 2-day transit to Buffalo for tender to the USPS. Stallion will always do it next day; it's just a much bigger pain to travel there for me. Further: It has gotten worse - I can no longer rely on Chit Chats to tender my packages to the USPS the following day. I am forced to drive the distance to Stallion Express now if I want this. Even more recent edit: Chit Chats has a very pretty and functional interface, but support continues to be a little lackluster. They tell you tickets are answered within 12 hours, but they will sit much longer without response. Two small FedEx packages dropped off on time two days ago are still waiting to see any tracking on the US side, and the agent after calling could only tell me that they hadn't crossed to the US yet, that she doesn't know when FedEx will get them, that she doesn't know why they were delayed she said that maybe they didn't have enough room on the truck "?!?!". Here on out, for even slightly urgent shipments, I am going to send DHL direct from Canada and avoid Chit Chats, but will continue using them for USPS. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to handle the two FedEx packages, but I gave them the shot anyway, and they failed. USPS, however, has still been fairly blip free with rare exceptions. More recent edit: I've finally found the blip in their service: Canada Tracked. I've been using other brokers for shipping within Canada but finally tried their Canada Tracked. They pass their packages off to Canpar to deliver these. As of three days after dropping off a shipment, this package still hasn't been tendered to Canpar. Needless to say, I won't be using Canada Tracked again. However, everything else cross-border has still been running very smoothly. Recent Edit: After now several months of using Chit Chats, I've upgraded my review to 5-stars. Only once did my packages not get received by the USPS the following day which was a weekend day. Every other time, the USPS scanned in all packages by about 3pm the following day. Their customer service has been very responsive. They appear to care about both their business and their customers and I couldn't be happier shipping with them. Again, I could really benefit from a slightly further north downtown drop off spot, but I understand that this would have to make economic sense for them, and likely doesn't. Since I started shipping with them, on days when I do need to go down to their location at the end of the day, I've decided to ditch the car and avoid traffic to their location by taking the subway and then the streetcar, and have been saving a lot of time. Still very happy with their services. So far, so good. Just started shipping with them, and in the past week or so, I've shipped about 10 packages so far with Chit Chats and everything so far has been amazing. I was very excited to find them - a company that gives me access to the USPS for only a 1-day transit delay. My one complaint may have to be access - getting to their Queens Quay location towards the end of the day is an absolute nightmare in traffic. Leaving the Carlton & Church area at about 4:45pm last week, I had to eventually give up because I was still in traffic at 5:30pm, when they closed. If they extended drop-off hours to 7 or 8pm, that would be amazing. Or, if they had a drop-off point slightly further north with a late cutoff, that would be great too.
Of course you know I love Chitchats. This location is no exception. The staff are friendly and helpful. The parking for this location is the only issue as it is limited to parking quickly on Adelaide St which can be risky at busy times during the day. There are a few Green P parking in the area so I often enjoy the walk. The Good Good coffee shop next door is my new favorite more on that in my Good Good review. Highly recommend
Chit Chats is fantastic and this location and its employees are even better. I've had such a positive experience shipping nearly 300 packages in a short window of time. The staff is great and super helpful!
Number 1 choice for your shipping needs. Staff is so friendly and helpful, very genuine.
Jair did a fantastic job helping us out with our shipment yesterday. Many Thanks!
I use chit chats on a regular basis for my shipping needs, this branch and it’s service is fast and reliable!
This place is a gem. Good $ rate and the best costumer service. Those two gentlemen who works in Adelaide, Toronto location are superb. Once I made a mistake with my postage they notified within a second the found out about the glitched. They are polite with good manners. We need more of those sales rep.
