The Chisago Lakes Education Center (CLEC) is home to two Federal Setting IV Programs serving the districts of Chisago Lakes, North Branch, and Rush City, as well as provides the educational component for the Fairview Treatment School.
The SOAR program, which stands for "Skill-building Opportunities for Academic Resiliency," is designed to support students grades K-12 who demonstrate significant communication needs as well as challenging behavior that require a separate placement. The focus of the program is to build students’ skills in the areas of functional communication, self-regulation, and independence.
Pathway to Change is designed for students grades K-12 who demonstrate significant needs in the area of social and behavioral skills that require a separate placement. Pathway to Change is based on the Boys Town Education Model, a behaviorally-based program that focuses on developing skills and teaching replacement behaviors to help our students be successful across environments.
The mission of the Pathway to Change program is "To provide strong academic programming with continuous social skills training in a safe environment."
The mission of the SOAR program is "Through child-centered supports, our mission to provide a safe, engaging, supportive, and structured learning environment that increases independence and enhances quality of life."
