We’ve been getting food from here at least once a week for years. We’ve never really had any issues, if anything the food has always been consistent and reasonably priced. A few months ago my mom ordered shrimp Chow Mein. When we got home she opened the food container and realized there weren’t any shrimps in the dish. She called the restaurant back, and they told her next time they’d fix it for her. She was happy and satisfied with that answer. A week or so later we went back and they honored the shrimp Chow Mein issue. Well today, I ordered shrimp and broccoli something I order once a week and the shrimp were obviously bad. It happens!! I get it. I’ve worked food service for many years. So we called the restaurant back and got their answering service. They were kind and understanding and asked us to bring the food back. We brought the food back to the restaurant and the cook presumably the co owner was very understanding. He let my mom try the shrimp and it was decided that it was a better batch. He was very apologetic and gave my mom a new order. The female owner got extremely rude and nasty. She said “I don’t know why you always have an issue with the shrimp” meanwhile we get food from them weekly and never complain and asked what my moms problem was. We are local customers that are happy to give the local restaurant the business. We don’t want them to owe us anything, just decent customer service. That is not the way to do business. They just lost long-standing customers tonight. I guess we’ll be getting our Chinese food elsewhere. What a real shame.
Best Chinese in Town! Closest to NYC Chinese. Great taste good Service. A bit pricey but they get their Ingredients fresh from the city. So to me worth it.Food: 5/5
One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area! Love the food and the prices are decent compared to other options. Kid-friendliness: Kids options like chicken nuggets and fries.
This place makes pretty good takeout Chinese dishes with good flavor. They get 4 out of 5 stars for the higher than expected prices they aren't exactly in Manhattan, NY... and the long wait waited about 45-50 minutes picking up 2 dishes on a Saturday 6pm. Other than that I think this is one of the better rural Chinese places around. Enjoy!
Good food. Nice people. Fast and easy service. We drive out of our way to eat at this place. Best in the areA, no doubt..Still great food. We eat here frequently.
Been going there since they opened. Spending an average of $50 a week for years still gets me yelled at when I asked for a special request. The food is mediocre at best but they are one of the few Chinese restaurants in the area. After the last episode of being yelled at I will just forgo Chinese food and avoid this place at all cost. Anyone that has gone to or lived close to New York city's Chinatown or the many excellent Chinese restaurants in Brooklyn or Queens will know that this food second rate. Combine this with being yelled at by the chef and I'll save over $2000 year .
Waited over 50 minutes and when I asked what happened after every other customer including those who came in 20 minutes after I had placed mine received their food. I was told that the restaurant puts orders for new customers on hold while they prioritize their regulars. Unacceptable.
[update 6-16-2021] Time to give them another chance!! see below I ordered what i normally order : Sweet&Sour Chicken and Sesame Chicken. This time it was money. The Sweet&Sour chicken was fresh, hot, crunchy and not greasy at all, delicious. The Sesame chicken was good too, fresh and hot even after 10 minutes in the car. It was well worth it this time. Now, i have to say that i went a little outside busy-hours 7:00pm. Between paying for my order and walking out of the door was less then 10 minutes. So far redemption is a fact. I will be back for more. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 1st time here. Ordered a Sesame Chicken and a Sweet & Sour Chicken. We really liked both dishes. Only minor complaint was that fresh Sweet & Sour Chicken was mixed in with pieces that were re-deep-fried too many times. Other then that, delicious. Recently there have been some issues with getting orders done in time and accurately. Maybe it is the closing of the other place that upped the workload?? Who knows. Tough to see that happen as a 20 year veteran in the food business. I am giving them a couple of weeks to adjust and will try again. 45 minutes wait time just does not cut it.
Great food! However, they sometimes seem challenged to fill orders on time. Perhaps short-staffed on some nights? I have waited 30-45 minutes beyond my pick-up time. Best in the area, but something has to be done about how to fill orders in a systematic way.
So Far so good....ordered twice and I have no thing bad to say. The only thing negative so far....my son ordered shrimp lo mein and he took one bite and was very disappointed in the meal. He usually orders the same thing but this time the shrimp was not fresh. He threw the whole meal in the garbage.
