This....this was not good. Where to start? OK. Let's start with the ordering process. They said the food would be brought to the car in 15 or 20 minutes. 44 minutes later, the food was in a package on their counter which I had to collect. Now - the food. Here it goes from annoying to 'not good.' First, my wife's Pad Thai and she is from SE Asia was described as 'mushy.' She then packed it up uneaten. She was very disappointed. I will say that my meal was better - I ate most of it. However the vegetables were indeed over cooked and the sauce was like water. I ate it because I was very hungry - not because I felt it was delicious. I have rewritten this review a couple of times because I did not want to write something mean. At the end of the day, I'd say "caveat emptor."
Always great food. Typical Chinese food. Is a little on the pricy side but you get your moneys worth.Recommended dishesPupu Platter for One
The best Chinese food in Maine, and I'm "from away" and grew up eating lots of Chinese food. I ordered two lunch specials the other day, with an order of egg rolls the best in Maine, which was enough for 3 meals. The chicken was all white meat with not an ounce of fat. The sauces were tasty and the fried rice was great. If you're in Freeport, definitely stop here, or even if you're nearby, go out of your way for this place. Having had Chinese food many times in Chinatown in NYC, this is the real deal. This is what great Chinese food tastes like. The service is also terrific and the woman taking the orders is extremely pleasant. Parking: They have their own lot in the back.
Way too expensive. Tasty and good. But not worth the price. Very few vegetables in noodle dish. Small tough slices of pork instead of meaty tender ones. Chicken was good but I felt too few sesames for sesame chicken. Huge eggdrop soup when small was what we wanted. Anyway, too much for too much! Next time we'll know. Difficult paying at very high window. Who cares! It was a lovely night to sit outside to eat.
Despite being strictly drive-through this establishment has incredibly friendly service, the food is quite delicious.Food: 5/5
We went off season and ordered the buffet. While it was tasty, they didn't add to it. So, if you go during lunch, order off the menu!
Hands down the best chinese food in the greater portland area.. must have changed hands in the last couple years, since the food is primo now... they do szechuan/spicy!.. Rivals "hu shang" from 30 years ago in the portland area.. that is the ultimate compliment
Disturbed and grossed out. Found a large black hair in our food, recieved meat in our order we ordered vegetarian and the food was so greasy it made my husband and I feel sick. Overall a terrible experience and would highly recommend dining elsewhere!
My family and I ordered three lunch buffet specials which we thought were a great deal. We had the shrimp lo mein, schezuan shrimp, and vegetables in garlic sauce. All were delicious! The flavors were well balanced not too oily or salty and the vegetables were not overcooked. Service was good and fast. Appreciated the delivery takeout window especially on a rainy day.
Food was okay. Crab was really good but orange chicken wasn't as good. The rice and dumplings wrre good. Worst part was I was staying in a hotel with my boyfriend and they provided no utensils and tableware. We didn't know until we got back to the hotel and had to share 1 fork that we washed that was left over from lunch. Make sure you have tableware before you leave.
