First time guests. The service was great and friendly. They had a lot of take out orders while we were there. We stayed and enjoyed their wonderful hospitality and excellent food. The Orange Chicken and the General Tso's Chicken were the best my wife and I had ever had. We enjoyed some pan fried dumplings and the very tasty fried wide noodles as appetizers. It's our new place for sit down Chinese. Will be going back again.
Always a treat to eat here. Food is always amazing and staff is always friendly. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon and Orange Chicken.
It has been 40 years since I sat in a real Chinese restaurant because for some reason they have either gone out of business or were replaced by buffets. What a treat! China House has a full bar, and a wait staff that are so accommodating. This restaurant had zodiac placemats that brought me back forty years ago when real Chinese restaurants were common. The fried noodles were large, wide and sooo FRESH!! I ordered the lunch special of bourbon chicken from the lunch special menu which comes with pork fried rice, a choice of soup and an egg roll for under $10.00. I asked to replace the pork fried rice with the pork lo mein which was an extra $2.00 - there was plenty of meat with no skimping here! The meal was so large that I needed a doggy bag! Yay! I will have an easy no mess, no fuss dinner tonight! Unlike Chinese buffets, the food was especially hot and very fresh! For example, my noodles in the wonton soup were lusciously al dente. It was not soft and squishy which is so often the case in Chinese buffets. Overall the entire meal itself was flavorful and had me craving for more with each bite. I highly recommend China House for a good lunch or dinner with an aperitif.
This is worth the sit down. Food was fabulous!! I got a lunch special, which was sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice, egg roll and I picked the wanton soup. The soup tasted so fresh! The pork fried rice was absolutely amazing. My whole meal was great. Our waitress was spot on, very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend this place!
Being completely HONEST.... I have been to many Chinese restaurants and buffets, but FORTUNATELY this one is close to HOME! I ALWAYS get the roast pork egg foo young and pork fried rice. Absolutely DELICIOUS! Thankfully, they have been here for MANY YEARS!Food: 5/5
First time ordering my fav Best Chinese food on Dominick is closed today .. shrimp fried rice taste old and has peices of pork or something also have huge uncut peices of onion, a whole end piece of onion in my rice. Sweet and sour chicken looks like something attacked it. And mostly breading, the cheese Ragoon and sweet sauce is good. Also I ordered just those three things. The guy on the phone didn't give me my total, find out that 3 things were added to my total? .. the delivery guy was also very rude and unprofessional. I will not order from here again
Very good food and fast service. Recommend the Singapore style Ho Fun noodles - a spicy curried wide flat noodle. It's not on the menu but they are happy to make it!
I haven't been here in 6 years and was pleased to find the same delicious food. I will definitely return.Food: 5/5
I'm a regular here and never really have any issues. In fact ..I switched from Mayflower to here after I was burned too many times by them for a similar issue I'm about to describe here. Tonight I ordered takeout and got the House Special Chow Ho fun which is just a wide rice noodle dish with chicken, pork and shrimp. Upon opening at home I see the noodles are extremely overcooked, all broken and just basically a big box of mushy noodle pieces . That's an extremely amateur thing to miss in cooking ..especially for a "chef" who is cooking in a restaurant setting. I could have and would have overlooked that but unfortunately once I emptied the entire box onto a plate to see what I was looking at. I had about 5 small shrimp and literally probably 4 to 5 TINY , TINY quarter inch by 2 inch SHREDS of pork and chicken . Absolutely unacceptable and a ripoff. Paying 12 plus dollars basically for overcooked rice noodle and a few shrimp. Not sure who allowed that to leave the kitchen but there really needs to be better oversight if that's what you're going to be producing for your customers and charging that much.
They used to be good 2 years ago, but recently the food has no taste to it. I ordered chicken and garlic sauce recently and expected the dish to be very garlicky. It was mild flavor with some spice. And when I scooped out more for leftovers, I found a metal shard in the container. Expensive for what you get.
