Child Support Division

The way they are handling my wife's child support case against her ex is appalling. I am an attorney in the State of Alabama and as bad as our system is, Oregon is worse by far! This is only an arrears case; we provided his place of employment, home address, and the Order from Florida where it was originally issued. We also provided verification of the amount owed. It has been 6 months and there is still no Withholding Order. Calling that office is a waste of time as no one seems to have a clue what is going on in the case.

After 4 years they still cannot collect arrears for my child. He's 22 now and could use it to assist with some health issues and lord knows I could have used it trying to raise him as a single mom. But he gets to be off owning his own business, buying houses, motor homes, quads, motorcycle, and neglecting his first responsibility. That seems to be ok with the state. I'm sure there is something they could do to get him to pay up his bill. You're the state, do something about it.
