Wow, amazing experience with this one! This was my first time ordering here for pick up and the General Tao was very tasty! The batter was light and crispy, the sauce was delicious and the chicken was tender and juicy. I'm not usually a fan of bean sprouts but I am now! They had this light gravy flavor with the tender sprouts that was a surprisingly perfect combination. The chicken and egg fried rice was also great, it had a good balance of everything! I was really happy with the quality and I'm definitely ordering this again. Moving on to price. It's truly a great deal! This would easily feed 2 1/2 people! I shared this with my husband who also loved all of it and we still had some left over for a little lunch the next day. It's a little cheaper during the week, but I was more than happy to pay the weekend price because it was still a huge bargain. I will be visiting again!
We ordered the other night for the first time, and were very happy with the food. The chicken fried rice, garlic broccoli and general Tao chicken were all great. We were pleasantly surprised by the beef lo-mein- we liked it the best- the beef wasn’t rubbery like others I’ve had and the noodles were extra delicious. We didn’t care for the chicken balls, they were just ok. I really liked the egg roll, my husband did not lol Overall we were very happy and will be ordering again for sure. We asked for a menu so next time can see prices and more options.
Was a great place no complaints my family enjoyed it as well, their lunch specials were amazing especially for the price enough food to fill 2 people for less then $10 & they would sell the lunch special after lunch hours for an extra $1 couldnt beat that. Ive been trying to call for the past couple days to order to now see they have closed. Sad too see you go the place was amazing!
Exactly like chopchop wok. Ever since my fav quick take out place closed down, ive been craving the specific taste of the general tao+noodles. So happy to learn that this place is owned by the same owner to that of chopchop wok. Even if its out of my way home, I'll see to it that i come here more often.
It used to be good before the pandemic, now it's below standards, we always got beef and broccoli. It's was a mountain of beef. Now they come with 3 little pieces of meat and the rest broccoli. Used to taste very fresh, now it's tastes like week old fryer oil.. We are going to change our Chinese food take out place and go elsewhere. Too bad
It’s my families go to, but it’s a hit and Miss, the last time we had sweet and sour chicken, the chicken was awesome but the sweet and sour sauce tasted off like it had been put in an empty tin and kept over night. Other than that, It’s usually really good
This place gets a 5/5 for the sheer consistency that they have shown over the past couple of years. I have been going to this place on and off for the past 5 or so years, and every single time, they did not disappoint. That being said, they did not impress either. This is a place you go to when you're thinking, "hmmm I want Chinese food but I don't want to pay a lot of money for it." You won't get terrible food here, but you won't get exceptional food either. It is objectively okay, and that is okay with me! Recommended Dish: Get Combo 2 General Tso Chicken. It comes with a generous serving of fried rice, general tso chicken, stir fried bean sprouts, and an egg roll. Total was just below $13 after tax, and in this economy, you likely won't find a better bang for your buck.
I ordered a simple chicken fried rice and chicken wings, that costs $25, i would have been ok with the price if the food had been good but it was horrible. There was no vegetables in the rice, a few little pieces of over cooked egg and little pieces of chicken that were gross. The chicken wings looked like they had bee forgotten in the fryer for the second time.
Every neighbourhood needs a local New York style Chinese food take out restaurant and this place is ours. Great service and the food is tasty. The meal specials/combos are always convenient to order and abundant. My wife and I always have leftovers the next day. I would highly recommend making it a staple for takeout meals.
Friendly courteous staff, quick to fill order with very good portions. Great tasting menu items. We always look forward to ordering our favorite family dishes for celebrations or a break from home cooking. They have great lunch menu too.
