Solid chicago style deep dish pies. It's not traditional pizza and if you're a purist make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. But for what it is it's pretty solid. Portions are enormous. 2 small pies will easily feed 5 hungry people. It does take a bit to get ready but they do mention that upon ordering. The staff were nice and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Prices are very fair.
Wow what a warm friendly quality place to dine or take out. Limited seating, but the end result of the deep dish pizza once we got home to dig in - um you don’t need a dip. The flavour profile of the sauce is light and flavourful and delicious crust. The cheese and fresh ingredients make the pie the best I’ve tasted in a while. Thank you staff, my first experience was memorable for sure.
This is a must try! I ordered the spinach manicotti. The sauce was rich and delicious, the and they stuffed it very well. The rest of the table ordered pizza. The stuffed pizza was loaded with lots of toppings and the cheese pull was so long!nnMy only issue was the service. Our server, Anna, was pleasant. But she didn’t check in on us. We also were served our appetizers far apart from eachother when we ordered them to be sent out together battered mushrooms, then 10 minutes later we received our bruschetta. We were not told “hey, your bruschetta’s on the way” so, we assumed our server had forgotten about it.nnWe also ordered some things to go, but had to wait around 10 minutes after getting the bill to get the rest of our food when there were other customers waiting for our table
The Chicago style deep dish pizza that they’re so well known for is not for the feint of heart! It’s a massively thick, cheesy, heavy pie that easily serves 6 people! It’s very good, and if you like sausage in your pizza, you’ll enjoy their special. Our companions shared the Caesar salads that came with their pasta dinners. Salads were delicious. My favourite dish is their Stracciatella Italian egg soup. Be patient as your deep dish is going to take a while to cook, but is well worth the wait! Note: soda is served by the can. Wine menu is limited. The take out counter was one of the busiest I’ve seen on a Saturday evening although I prefer to eat this style of ‘za in house, immediately out of the oven. You can learn more about this Hamilton landmark on line, as this restaurant was featured on “You Gotta Eat Here”. It’s a very small venue that doesn’t accept reservations so there’s often a wait during busy times - be prepared.
Omg!! You want a Chicago style pizza in Southern Ontario .. you gotta go here. The food is amazing. Small place - make reservations. And all the other food choices look amazing! Fast and friendly service!
