My husband and I spent two nights in the Malbaie and came to Chez Truchon both nights, even though we were staying at the Manoir Richelieu, which boasts its own fancy restaurant. The food and experience at Chez Truchon are both unbeatable. The waitstaff consists of expert waiters and waitresses who provide impeccable, yet relaxed and friendly service. The wine list is excellent. The smoked salmon is simply unforgettable. The lamb melts in your mouth along with the rich, balanced sauce it comes with. $60 for a table d'hôte at a place like this is a steal. And the restaurant is, of course, beautiful. We loved every moment at Chez Truchon.

I've stayed here with my family 3 times and have always been impressed with the food, the comfort, and the warmth of the staff.
