We just left Tadoussac and couldn't leave Québec without leaving a review for this lovely place. Over the course of two nights, we enjoyed all three types of the surprise 4/5 course menu's. They were full of interesting local flavors and ingredients, although one might prefer one course of the other. I preferred the vegetarian over the fish menu! The service by all the sweet ladies and gentleman was terrific and also very considerate of the fact they were basically the last restaurant open in the whole town . They made my birthday a special one yesterday! Thank you
Truly a fantastic experience! It was nice to find a resto in the area that delivers this type of dining. Excellent service. If you want beef, call at least one day ahead. Highly recommend!
great food. tried the 5 course set plus the scallop. each course got better. Service was impeccable with a great waiter who not only attentive but suggested a very good wine pairing.
It's an amazing place. Don't expect your regular restaurant experience here. The staff greeted us in a very professional and warm manner. We had a view of the kitchen from the bar and were delighted to see them work. It's a great culinary experience. We particularly appreciate that there is a option for vegetarians. It is rare to find gastronomic food aimed at vegetarians especially of that caliber. It's a wonderful place and we can't wait to go back the next time we are in Tadoussac!
This is a superb place in this town and you MUST make reservations. Very elegant tasting menu and our waitress Sophie was fantastic. Very local food and favours , highly recommend it
Not sure how I feel about this restaurant. First, the menu did not represent the food being served. You don’t know what to expect until the extremely small portions are placed in front of you. The wine service was limited, we ask for two different types, which turned out to not be available. The waiter seamed to have a hard time providing us service, however the table next to us had no problem. So if I had to ask myself “would I come back” definitely not, sorry to say. PS. Be careful with the wine pairing, it’s an additional cost.
Beautiful restaurant with a warm and cozy ambiance, plus very friendly service. While a couple of the dishes fell a little flat for us, that isn't necessarily uncommon when you're not ordering à la carte their menu is a collection of multi-course tasting menus. Overall, the plates were very creative and made great use of local products. Would definitely return, since the ingredients are constantly changing!
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. On the one hand, both tasting menus we tried were amazing. It is true the dishes are small, but one does not go to a place like this to stuff their face. You go for an experience. On the other hand, the service was abysmal. It was bad enough to earn the 'tourist trap' designation. For $125 per person before tax, we expected a lot better. First, they completely forgot about a course in each of our menus and were about to bring the desserts. One of us had to run to the kitchen to sort it out. Then we found out our wine pairing was messed up as well. We got some of our wines with the wrong dishes. To make things worse, they'd run out of one wine and instead of being open about it, served another wine twice in a row and blamed me for "being unable to taste the difference". It was only after I asked to bring both bottles to compare that the waiter admitted their deliberate 'error'. Apart from a curt 'sorry', there was no real attempt to rectify the situation. TL;DR Good food, subpar service, avoid wine pairing.
Pretentious and expensive. They overcomplicate everything they cook all in the name of "terroir" and don't tell you what you're eating until it gets to your table. With that kind of concept it had to be a slam dunk and it just wasn't tasty. Portions were small and service was unfriendly.
Incredible fine dining gem in Tadoussac! Inventive and delicious dishes using local ingredients. Highly recommend the wine pairing for a special experience. It was definitely a bit of a splurge but the quality, of the food, excellent service and high end experience made it well worth it
