Bistro Lionel delivers a cozy, inviting atmosphere paired with friendly, efficient service. The food is a flavorful reflection of the waitstaff’s accurate descriptions. Despite the tricky parking situation, the delicious French fare makes any extra effort to find a spot entirely worthwhile.Food: 5/5
I went for drinks on a Friday night with friends. The place is charming and upscale, and the atmosphere was lively. The service was excellent. I had a cocktail, which was good, although it seemed a bit heavy on the ice I forgot to take a picture before I started sipping. I definitely plan to go back to try their food!Service: 5/5
Pleasantly surprised by this chain French bistro, it has excellent service and good food. I especially like their pork tenderloin. A bit on the pricey side though.Food: 4/5
I went to dinner with three colleagues at Chez Lionel in Brossard which borders on the 10/30 shopping centre development. The restaurant is bistro style and has a generally good atmosphere although the level of noise can be high. The night we were there, the entire restaurant was occupied with diners. As a group starter, we ordered the burrata and fried calamari. The calamari serving was acceptable but less than generous. As a main entrée, I ordered the medallion of venison which was served with blueberries, Jerusalem artichokes, Brussel sprouts and hazelnuts. The venison was very tasty but some of the vegetables were slightly undercooked. On the positive side, the service was excellent and I was asked if I wanted an English menu, as an English-speaker. I would give this restaurant a second try as the menu is quite interesting and it generally has a lot of potential. Parking: There is a good deal of street parking around the restaurant as well as multi-level parking a block over.
Very nice restaurant with cozy atmosphere. Service has some hiccups because it was the opening but the food was very good! They have a kids menu too! Can't wait to go back.Food: 5/5
When you have very few items on a menu, you would expect them to be served and prepared properly. I ordered the ravioli 31$, and the pasta was either undercooked or left sitting too long after cooking it and was re-heated before serving it, with pieces of ravioli stuck together. This place is overrated and overpriced.Food: 1/5
Had a steak, was overcooked, returned it was replaced with another, this time it was tough and very chewy. Explained to the waitress at the end of the meal, she dismissed me and did not offer anything to make it the situation better, she just didn't care. Overpriced for the poor quality of food, the service sucks, many other alternatives all around for a much better experience. They have the luxury of having customers that are out of town in a hotel next door that they can scam...
Fun bistro on the south shore. Easy access via the REM. We had a reservation but for some reason it got misplaced. No worries, we took a seat at the bar. No big surprises on the menu. French classics with the usual suspects in any upscale bistro. Think truffle fries and risotto. We had the fried calamari, tuna tataki and beef tartare. Everything was okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. The tartare was under seasoned and lacked acidity, but a dash of Tabasco worked like magic. Staff was busy but helpful. The wine list was long, varied and with a good price distribution. Cocktails and beers also. Good place to grab a bite before a show or movie in the DIX30. Gives suburbanites a feel of the big city, with no originality but no bad surprises either.
Good food and drinks. Accompanied by great friendsFood: 5/5
Service was swift and efficient Food was well presented and tasty I only regret not having the carrot cardamom soup to start, as I found the salad tasted like grassFood: 4/5
