I end up going to Ashton maybe once every 3 years. The lady serving us seamed to hate her job and was really grumpy. Cleanliness of the sitting area was poor. Floor where sticky, I cleaned the garbage off my table, windows looked like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. Don't count on comfortable chairs and keep your jacket on.

Had to try the poutine while traveling in Quebec. It was pretty good. Pretty decent service. It wasn't intimidating at all for someone that doesn't know much French.

The fast food of Quebec city. Haha.. Pretty pricey in comparison to bigger chains, but it didn't taste too bad. The menu was a bit confusing though.. And the employee's English skills were far below standards even for a primarily French city (it was quite close to the tourist areas as well). As someone who comprehends French, and had someone Fluent with me the menu was still very confusing.
