I read the entire review before the appointment and was upset that I was referred to this doctor. But the reality was much better. This doctor is an introvert by himself, he says everything about the case without blabla, not rude. But this does not mean that he is a bad specialist. The doctor ran the skin test well. He determined the type of allergy, gave me an instruction sheet, prescribed drops and tablets. He answered all my questions. If you have problems or need a prescription for other drops, please always contact him.
To be honest I had my reservation after reading the reviews before my appointment. I found the whole process similar to another allergy doctor 7-8 years ago. Dr Wong listened to me describing my symptoms and allergy history. He took a test on my arms and confirmed what I had before. To fall on the safe side, he referred me to an ENT doctor after the appointment. The whole process took less than 30mins. Yes, he doesn't laugh or make jokes and might appear stoic at times, but I don't find him rude. If any, he's just a straight shooter. Perhaps that's not some expected from a doctor, but I found no problem with it.
I’ll be honest. After reading the reviews before my appointment, I was scared and genuinely felt that I should cancel my appointment. After actually going to the appointment yesterday, I feel like he is nowhere as bad as what some reviews depict him to be. Sure, he may be direct or straightforward but that doesn’t affect the purpose of the appointment. Also, before the allergy test, he told me even though I didn’t ask him what the test would be like and warned that it would hurt a bit. He also asked me if I had any questions for him before the test. I usually don’t leave reviews but I felt like I should because this doctor was not even half as bad as what some reviews have said. After all, we don’t expect customer service at the doctor’s right?
The worse experience at a doctors office. Dr Wong is rude and has no compassion for patients. He told me to leave the office to call my husband to decide if I wanted to do a skin test or blood test. I just needed two minutes to make the decision but I was kicked out of the office and he took another patient in because he told me I was late and he had other appointments. I asked the reception when we could do the skin test, she said that the doctor will need another 20 minutes as he needs to finish with his other patient first. It is super unprofessional to see one patient and stop halfway, just because I needed two minutes to make a decision with my husband.
Chet Wong is a terrible doctor. Rushed through the appointment and I felt like he didnt care about my well being. I was sent there by my family doctor for allergy testing. The testing center said my lungs needed a closer examination despite the inconclusive results. Chet Wong dismissed this and said the results are black and white. No problems when really feel like I have lung issues. He didnt care. His line of questioning and examination is intimidating and almost berating. I ended up getting allergy shots and he told me basically they dont help with any allergy symptoms why would people get it then?. After I Googled the medication he prescribed, they actually do help alleviate my symptoms and they have. I'm not sure where Chet Wong was educated but he needs to get evaluated again...or maybe he needs to find a heart. He's terrible. Find another option if you have one. Note: His receptionist is a sweetheart.
These other reviews are delusional. My appointment with Dr. Chet Wong was super quick and easy. Receptionist was very nice and welcoming when I arrived. Dr. Wong asked me a standard set of questions Existing conditions, medication, symptoms, etc. and performed a quick allergy test. No hidden surprises, very informed consultation, and very quick appointment. I was out in 30 mins. Dr. Wong is a straight shooter, no BS. Can't recommend him enough!
Worst experience ever! I totally agree some other reviews and wish I could give no star. I have asked our family doctor to take him off the referral list already. He was very rude and has no experience with kids or parents at all. My four year old daughter was afraid when he was doing the test on her arm and almost was crying. He just grabbed and took over her arm with super rude attitude and without a word. After the testing when we ask questions he didn’t have any patience to answer and gave us really unpleasant looking. Will never go to see this doctor again!!!
I wish I could give him no star at all. No patience for children at all. This was our second visit with the doctor. My 4 yr old was afriad of the test so he cried and Dr Wong sent us to get his blood withdrawn at the Children's hospital instead. The whole visit lasted less then 10min. If you are getting referred here for your child, ask for another one. Dr Wong has ZERO PATIENCE for kids.
There should be a NEGATIVE star rating for this "doctor." After visiting Dr. Chet Wong, I was so bothered by him that I wanted to make a review to warn other patients. I'm not surprised that other patients have already beat me to it, saying the exact things that I want to say. I had an allergic reaction when I was about 8-10 years old. My tongue, insides of my mouth, and lips bubbled and swelled, and he completely disregarded this saying that it was not an allergic reaction, and that it was just my "anxiety-all in my head." How is that even possible?! He is a young doctor, and talks and sounds educated, but seems inexperienced because he is young. Many of the answers he gave to my questions contradicted what other doctors have said. He takes every question to offense, and makes you feel like a waste of time. What the others have said is true; he is rude, no sense of humor, and should not be a doctor. I'm surprised he was even allowed to become a doctor. Seems like the type who was bullied in highschool, no girlfriend, and completely angry at the world. He looks and acts like a total grouch. He seemed annoyed at all of my questions. It amused me to see him frustrated, so I purposely asked more questions just to piss him off even more hahaha! By my last question, he didnt bother answering. Instead, he stood up, opened the door and said "I'm gonna let you go now," visibly irritated. This made me laugh as I walked out the door. The only good thing is that his secretary is very kind and courteous, and wait times were minimal--which should have been a bad flag from the beginning, considering he doesnt like to spend much time with you. Dr.Chet Wong needs to find a different career, because he clearly isn't happy with what his life right now.
Not an easy guy to deal with. Gives little to no information about your results. I had severe reactions to the serum and dosages, and when I sought a second opinion the recommendations, serum, and dosages were complete opposites. No bedside manner or warmth or concern. His only concern after each sentence is and I quote " I cannot be held responsible for anything".
