My son has gone to this school for JK and SK. We will be moving this summer so my review is only for his time in Kindergarten.nnFor whatever reason, the school is not rated on Frasier Institute. This makes it difficult to compare to other schools when you don't know where it stands academically.nnThe other students at his school seem fine, we never had any issues with other students. Im fact, my child was the troublesome one. Not a bully, just didn't listen to the teachers very well hes very stubborn....nnHis teachers have always been good about communicating with us on my sons needs, and his actions at school, for us to help correct his behaviors. He has improved greatly and I would now consider him a cooperative student.nnThank you Mrs. Antoniou and Miss Carrerio for your work, communication and patience.
I used to go to this school and i really thought it was terrible. For starters, The kids were not good at all. You had your friends and all, but there was always 1 or 2 groups of bullies. The teachers sucked except for Ms. Fitzpatrick, Ms. Fowler, and Mr. Feldman. If you ever get Ms. Little, RUN AWAY. The food for the lunch program was always cold. I feel like the only thing i liked was the actual design of the school and my friends. Its best you stay away from here. I moved a while ago tho, so im nowhere near that school, but i had to go to elementary, and after grade 3 its not even the work, its more of a “does the teacher like me or no” cause I would do good on a test but get the worst grades. Either way, in conclusion, dont come here.
I like this school because it has great parent council also they are working towards a opal and model school. the teachers are caring and awesome. although we are not the only school with lice all schools have this problem at some point. and we are all wishing Chester didn't end at gr 5
This school is terrible. Confrontational principal and infested with lice. If it weren't for the incredible reputation and the quality service of the YMCA Daycare, there would be no saving grace. If you see the test scores for this school they are completely dismal. They don't even have an online rating from the Fraser institute. Not impressed. Actually, disgusted.
Chester Elementary is an up and coming school. Its extremely diverse and has a strong parent community supporting it. Chester is unique as it serves as a community hub for the entire area around it and is striving for improvement from renovations to fun events for the kids.
