Beautiful place, take my pups here for a swim while visiting family.
Excellent, location and lake. Well managed and maintained.
A great place to visit!
Lovely community and relaxed setting. People are generally friendly but some seek privacy. Cherry Hill is more or less set up for a weekend getaway in the summer or retirement. The centre lake is clean and motor boat free. Great place for children as well.
This was a wonderful place to be, but the owner’s greed has forced several long term campers to move out. After receiving an invoice two years ago that indicated there would be a 3% increase for the next five years, the owner decided to increase rent 25% - 35% in a single year. Unfortunately the people who have contributed to this owners success are now the ones who can no longer afford the rent and are being forced out, possibly leaving thousands of dollars of upgrades to their sites behind. The owner has no regard at all for human decency.
Very nice park, more seasonal residents than travelers but very welcoming staff. Sites are very large and some back onto the lake. Wifi at the office, with nice sitting area for one to access it. We stayed here in August 2014 for three nights. It was very warm so swimming in the lake was wonderful! Definitely would stay here again.
I spent 3 years at the RV site. Many waterfront sites at a reasonable price. 2 pickleball courts, horseshoe pit, darts, pool table, the barn can be booked for special events Sewer, water and electrical included in site costs. Managers are mostly only available from 9-5.
I am going to title my review The Good The Bad and The downright strange. We have just left site 54 at Cherry Hill for the season. I am reviewing this site based onto factors. Factor 1, the management. Factor 2 the facilities. Let me deal with the facilities first off. Cherry Hill is very nicely managed and if you are lucky enough to have secured a waterfront site it is very very nice. Generally it is well maintained however construction on your site is allowed all day any day for the entire season. This means that you could have an individual sawing logs and boards and hammering and drilling to make a gazebo one week right across from you. And the next day and another person can start up and the next day and another person can start up and it can be like that for the entire season so if you like that sort of stuff then this place is for you. Cherry Hill is definitely for people with money and that's okay it if that's what you're catering to you but you're certainly going to have a difficult time with a young family on a $35,000 a lot. Any construction that you want to make anything from a fence to a gazebo to a deck to a wood shed all has to be approved before Hand by the management. The facilities look a lot like Leave It to Beaver from the 1950s. I will not call it a campground because it is not a campground and I will not call it a seasonal site because it is not a seasonal site it is an affordable luxury living. Currently there is one park model home being sold for $96,000. The average cost of purchasing a unit on a site that generally has a deck and a gazebo will run you between 50 and $65,000. Now let's go to the management I'm not referring to Danielle who is in the office. When we signed our contract, a legal binding contract for the 2018 summer season we were under the impression that everything that we had to do was in the contract. However this is not the case of Cherry Hill. When Harry decides that he doesn't like something he will send his suddenly over to your site and tell you that you must change it. For example since most of the sites at Cherry Hill or permanent all year round there Plumbing consists of PVC piping. I did not have PVC piping I had Flex piping, my contract said nothing about PVC piping. However one day I was visited by King Harry and Son Larry orally and told that I must change. Of course I didn't change and I pointed out that 15 people had exactly the same kind of flex hose for their greywater and Blackwater tanks. Firewood, all firewood must be purchased at a specific company in blumenort I understand the logic behind that they don't want certain beetles being introduced into their estate property. I call it in a state because that's what it is is for very is for rich people it is not for a blue-collar workers that's not who they want to attract at Cherry Hill. So if you are a blue collar worker my advice to you would be to stay far far away from Cherry Hill. I know that I will stay far far away from Cherry Hill. I have a lot more to say but my rant is over I gave Cherry Hill to Stars because although the facilities are nice the rules and the management leave much to be desired.
I wish there was a way to put 0 stars for such terrible phone manners. I got hung up on while asking a question, lady was short with me. I called back, didn't get through. Called a different number in hopes of getting someone maybe in a better mood, again the same thing. Yet another person who had a thorn in their ass. Pompous and uptight service would be the nicest way to put it.
I have a trailer there and love the place. Where else can you get a private beach 50 ft in front of your trailer and only 45 min from Winnipeg.
