Breakfast for two: $40ish Positive: large breakfast selection, good quantity amount of food compared to the village, while maintaining deliciousness. Interior was homestead like, spacious and not cramp. Service was excellent. Negative: none Food for thought: come early to get better seats. Place get busy quick, so be patient because of limited number of staff. I highly recommend their breakfast pierogies.
Amazing breakfast and lunch spot! My first go around I had the Clubhouse Chicken Sandwich and the Mennonite Sausage with Eggs Benedict the second. Both times were a treat and an experience on their own. Definitely coming back here when I am in town again. Thanks Cherry!
A lot of other breakfast places either have good drinks or good food, Cherries has both. The chai latte I got with my meal was the best I've had. The food was phenomenal, with so many amazing choices that I already have my meals planned for my next 3 visits. The pulled pork was phenomenal, the Mennonite sausage was outstanding, the rollkuchen were scrumptious. So many things here you can't get anywhere else. The staff are all super friendly and make you feel like a good friend. There are a LOT of breakfast spots in Victoria, and I've been to a very good number of them. If you only go to one of them, this is it. This is the best breakfast in Victoria.
What an amazing gem to enjoy a delicious brunch. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious, with portions so big it was difficult to finish it all. The ambience of the place was incredible. We'll definitely be back!
Amazing "bennies" - we had to ask and discovered they are eggs Benedict. We had Florentine and mushroom/spinach/goat cheese. Perfectly poached eggs, great hollandaise sauce. Attentive service without being overly hovering.
Cherries Bistro is a wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious. It was a little bit colder than I would have liked personally, but the restaurant was busy, so I do understand. I enjoyed the atmosphere and they were playing great oldies music, but the music was a bit too loud. We ordered the Buffalo chicken Benny and the mushroom, spinach, and goatcheese with bacon added Benny. The hollandaise was homemade, creamy, and tasty. The eggs were poached perfectly. The only reason I am docking points for the service is because we had to wait a while to get water refills, and they served the water in tiny jars. My partner wasn't too impressed with this, but he's a big water drinker. The coffee was delicious. We enjoyed our visit. I want to mention that the parking isn't the greatest at this location. Especially when there was a mustang parked across 2 stalls right in front of the entrance to the restaurant. If I were the owner, I would have asked the patron to park properly. Anyways, you will like this place, they have an amazing selection of food.
This was really bad. Water and coffee was never offered to be refilled. I ordered an omelette and was served the bowl version. I mentioned this to staff and they told me that they server wrote down bowl and that it was the same price so it shouldn't be a problem. I told her it was fine i really didn't want to wait anther 30 min while my partner ate their food. When I started to eat the egg bowl thing there was a bunch of liquid at the bottom of it. The eggs were very bad and it was all together not worth eating. I had a little toast but even that was dry and without much butter at all. I stopped eating my food and a few minutes later our server came to offer the bill. No one came to ask if everything was okay, no one asked why I had hardly touched my food, they just came asked if we would like to pay now. My partners food was sub par too although the eggs were a very good poach. We wont be back here and I would recommend others avoid
I will start by saying Cherries London Fog is amazing! Worth 10 stars all on its own. I have been for breakfast 3 times, and unfortunately that is where we lose a star. They give you good portion sizes, but the food has just been a bit bland. Still very edible, just missing a spice or sauce or something to give it that memorable flavour. Otherwise a reasonable breakfast. Their homemade perogies are Very good.
My first coffee at the Cherries Breakfast Bistro and a walk in the Panama Flats made me decide to move into this neighbourhood. I loved the ambience, the hospitality and the warmth that the owner and the staff radiated. After moving into my new apartment, I visited this Bistro often for brunch and coffee. I worked on my research, read books and wrote my diary all while enjoying a sip of coffee and a tasty bite. My favourites include tofu sandwich and Florentine. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, which brings a smile to your face and you always want to come back. These are lovely people serving delicious food in a homey atmosphere.
Amazing flavours and food. It is quite a nice place and has friendly staff. If you have time I would recommend this place.
