We came in right when the doughnuts were coming out, absolutely divine. Cinnamon was fantastic and the marmalade doughnut had an amazing flavour, both had a fantastic texture and mouthfeel. I do wish there was a bit more of the marmalade because of how good it tasted.
Amazing bakery!! We had Buns, donuts, apple pastry, apple pie, copenhagens. All were scrumptious. This is the bakery I wish I had near me. Haven’t been to a bakery this good in years. And the woman behind the counter was super friendly. No pictures because we ate it up without even thinking about pics.
We had the Long John donut and various other baked goods. Everything was fresh and tasty. It was definitely a highlight during our visit to the Island.
The best Bavarian creme donut ive ever eaten!! Great service and selection of pastries, breads and sweets. And its so so cheap!! Visiting Chemainus Bakery is a must!!
Excellent baked goods, friendly staff.
Their cake is my favorite, not too sweet. The honey dip donuts are a bit pricier. My main issue is that they sell a day old and fresh cheese bread at the same price and also mix them together so you can’t tell if it is until you eat it.
I'm addicted to this bakery's home made granola bars! Thick, crunchy, sweet and a bit gooey, what's not to love, especially when I get an "edge" piece. I also indulge in their macaroons, delicious, and their sausage rolls, which are excellent. I tried some of their egg rolls, which we really liked, and a different type of sausage roll, not sure if it was Thai, it was very good too. Only complaint is that they are so popular they run out of things before I get there. I do appreciate that they only make enough to last for a day or two so their stuff is always fresh. Have been treating myself to the occasional doughnut, which are wonderful and always fresh because they always sell out. Also tried an Apple Fritter and guess what, it actually had apple in it! unlike others I have had elsewhere, and was fresh of course.
Everything is amazing here. The egg rolls are particularly good as is the coffee cake. Make sure to get here early as if all goes quick
They fresh grind coffee beans. Good chicken spicy rolls. Beautiful pastries and breads.
Can’t possibly go up or down the island without a stop at this bakery. Delicious pastries at very reasonable prices. The apple fritters are definitely the best on the island…often still warm from the oven!
