Gorgeous wetlands area with some trails and woodpeckers! Such a nice view and there is a lot of parking. Outhouses/bathrooms available. There is a place we saw people fishing on one of the bridges. Nice walkways through the wetlands. Definitely worth a visit. Very quaint.
Nice peaceful place to bring your kids, nice walking paths, one of which takes you out into the marsh where you can see frogs, fish and ducks. Fun for the kids or adults, very well maintained and just a nice off the beaten path park.
Great little park. Easy to get too big parking lot. There are two loop trails and a floating walkway to a viewing platform. We saw plenty of birds so take some binoculars. It's a bit of a drive from metro Vancouver but we'll worth it for a great few hours wildlife spotting.
Wonderful fall day for a picnic at the wetland. Loved watching the birds; widgeon, bald eagle, trumpeter swan, coots, merganser plus many more. I am disabled and it is wonderful to be able to park in the parking lot right beside the picnic tables right beside the wetland so you can see a lot without walking very much.
Great park to go for a walk, I had my first date with my husband here so it's a very sentimental place to us the only downside is that dogs aren't allowed
Sunset, soothing and quiet with an abundant parking space. It's worth a visit just to soak it in...
The day we went was hazy due to the wildfair. Suppose nicer in a clear day. Will come back.
Great trails and bird watching spots. My granddaughters' school comes here quite often for walks on the different trails. Yes there areas to walk to the east and west side of the wetlands plus a viewing area out to the water to watch waterfowl. It is a very peaceful place to go and take pictures of the critters who inhabit the wetlands there. Restrooms: There is more modern outhouses on site by the parking lot Picnic area: There is one covered area for a rainy day picnic and few other tables outside of the cover for sunny day gathering.
There are a few short trails including a little bridge out to a viewing platform, but there is also an easily accessible viewing platform from the parking lot for those with accessibility issues. This place is not dog friendly, although there were several dogs there. With the amount of wetland creatures nests and habitats it is probably best not to walk dogs off the trails. The view is beautiful of the lake and Cheam mountain range towering above. It is beautiful year round. There are a couple outhouses on the edge of the parking lot. In the summer months the mosquitos are bad given that this is their ideal habitat so wear bug spray! Restrooms: 2 outhouses Dog-friendliness: Dogs not allowed.
This park is great all year round. In the spring, summer and fall you have birds migrating, turtles warming on logs and people having picnics. In the winter the air is fresh and cool and Cheam Mountian is spectacular. Some winters it gets cold enough that the water freezes and kids... adults are enjoying themselves on the ice. A must visit park.
