So glad to see this place is open again! Stopped in for lunch and had an absolutely stellar tuna melt. VERY good. The sweet potato fries were good as well. Clean table, clean bathroom, nice waitress. The menu is small and uncomplicated. This place has been here since my mom was a kid so I'm really glad to see it's still here and doing well.
Had a great breakfast and the decor is modern. Wait staff was excellent. Vegan option shown here was top notch. All other breakfasts were great too, omelette, fried eggs, French toast. The breakfast potatoes are a must. We had been here 5+ years ago and did not have the same great experience as today. I believe new owners now?
I absolutely loved our experience here and the food! I ordered the apple walnut salad which comes with grilled chicken on top. And my boyfriend order their salmon dish. I tried his and liked his as well. We both ordered a cup of soup which was the homemade chicken noodle for the day. It was fantastic! I might have to go back just for that! I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to stop by for a drink as well. We ordered pomegranate mimosas, which were also delicious. Features: No masks needed.
Back home for the first time in over 40 years, and though the name is the same, it's definitely not the same restaurant I had my wedding rehearsal dinner at! LOL! Much more upscale now with corresponding food prices. Not out of line, but definitely not the Chat-a-Whyle of 40+ years ago. Wait staff was very good - kept up with us without being bothersome. Food was very good and we didn't wait long for it. All in all, a nice meal out
Super cute family restaurant in downtown Bath. Comfort food. It's good and country, ie, they put ice in the beer. Everyone knows each other, including the staff. Everyone is really friendly and kind, you feel right at home, even if you don't know anyone in there. More than just a diner, they've got their own authentic recipes, including their signature Chat sauce that goes on a few different dishes. If you haven't been here yet, you owe yourself a trip.
Very happy they reopened. The restaurant looks fantastic and the food is even better. Lots of ingredients are locally sourced and the dishes taste incredible. I highly recommend the prime rib, Mac and cheese, and salads. I look forward to trying more.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch when visiting from out of state. We relied on reviews for this stop. The tuna melt had great taste and was enough to split if we had wanted. It was on sourdough but a very mild sourdough which was the only disappointment. I took half home. My husband had the apple walnut salad which also had grilled chicken on top. He had a large which he thought was delicious but he would order small next time. Great prices for all we ordered. Attentive service. Clean. Very attentive team but not annoyingly so.
Food was very tasty and we had great service. A nice selection on the menu.
Maple syrup. Served warmed and in a healthy amount. You need no other reason to stop by. Great little place. Other reasons I'd highly recommend: Cracked potatoes were also a well executed surprise. Coffee was good enough to keep a steady stream of locals stopping by just for a to go cup. Big fan of one page condensed menu. What is offered is done with care. Wish I would have taken some photos to update what I saw online, the update suited it well. Rather stylish interior on a clean and attractive downtown area with ample parking as well as good visibility. Seemed rather busy with low wait times and efficient service. Great to see a local business support NY State Maple Syrup producers. If your in the area do try and stop by. Parking: Parking is slanted nose in type parking on street.
Love this place! So glad we gave it a try; it will now be a stop on our trips to the Finger Lakes region! Everything about this restaurant impressed me: classic rock station playing, AMAZING food - you have to try the Buratta Toast! - cleanliness, decor, friendly staff. Quiet, comfortable place to chat and eat some delicious food!
