I've got their fish fry almost every Friday night for the last 3 months. This is definitely the best fish fry in Baraboo by a mile! Every meal has been excellent!! The fish is thick white pieces. The breading is light and amazing! I've received super fast service as well. I've called in for takeout mostly and it has always been ready in 10 - 15 minutes. I hope they keep having this fish fry, and that they don't change anything.
Friday October 7 was our 1st visit. I say this because we will be back. Zeman's was recommended by a co-worker who said it may be his new favorite fish fry. Well, me too. Fish was hot, flaky and lightly battered, not greasy. The Pub chips were crispy and not too thick. The place was very busy, no room at the bar but we got a drink and we're seated right away. Friday is Old Fashioned night so very reasonably priced as was the fish fry. Shrimp came recommended but is a little pricey but quality shrimp is pricey, we will try it another time. Service was excellent and made us feel welcomed. I did notice when food was brought out by a server they seemed confused as to which table the orders belonged to. Numbering the tables might help. All in all I recommend giving Zeman's a try.
Omg awesome. Had the prime rib. It was fantastic. Salad before hand was one of the best. Drinks were ice cold. Rolls were awesome. The staff was the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
New kitchen equals GREAT fish fry! Cod and Bluegill! AND $2.50 Brandy Old Fashions
Very crowded. I sat waiting in the door and several waitresses passed me before one finally acknowledged me. Went for Friday Fish. Incredibly bland and dry. The person that took my order recommended some type of fry they had and I was excited for it, and got a baked potato instead. Didn't notice until I was too far away. They offered to come back in to replace it but I didn't have the time. They also offered 20% off my next order but the food was so bland that it wasn't worth it. They said it was impossible to deduct the 20% off my order. So ultimately I paid $24 for a very disappointing meal.
This is really a gem. Great place in a great location. The food was okay. Not spectacular. A party of 4, we ordered 2-burgers, 2-fish fry's. The burgers were very good, but the fries. Not so much. Undercooked. Soggy. The two fish fry's, average. Had the fish been a bit better, 5 stars all the way. Fries are easy to improve on. Definitely will give them another try.

Four dinners: stuffed shrimp, grilled shrimp, burger, and Bluegill dinner. Grilled shrimp wasn't too bad, stuffed shrimp was ok, bluegill was disgusting tasted old and portions were very small. All the food was served cold. Bar service was great, and good value. Burger reheated well Will not return
Both the service and food was amazing! If you haven't tried the fish & shrimp or prime rib you are definitely missing out! Go check it out!
We were there on a Friday night. The bar was busy but we got a table right away. We hadn't been there in a while and were surprised by the changes that were made. Definitely an improvement as the restaurant looked nice with it's new tables and chairs. We felt it was lacking of light, there were only lights on half of the ceiling. We ordered the deep fried cod and the shrimp dinner. The Cod was hot and had good taste. We didn't care for the fries, they reminded us of soggy McDonald's fries. The price we felt was fair for the Cod. The shrimp had 6 pieces and was hot and tasty. We ordered a baked potato to go with. Both meals came with rolls and coleslaw. We did not get our coleslaw and had to ask for it. We could have used more butter as we only got one butter pat per plate and needed butter for the rolls and baked potato. We felt $25 was a little pricey for the shrimp dinner. We didn't have any cocktails. Service was decent, they were busy. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed and was confused when she brought our food out. My husband had to speak up and signal to her, Cod and shrimp? All in all, we will go back. Probably won't order the shrimp, it was good but not worth $25.
