Hands down one of the best waterfront restaurants I have been to. My husband and I were in Minnesota celebrating our 8 year anniversary and found this place online and decided to try it and boy am I glad we did. The view was amazing, the food was mouth watering and the wait staff were fantastic! The restaurant is clean, has three different levels of seating and a wide selection of entrees to pick from. The environment is fun and welcoming and everyone we talked to was super helpful. If we are ever back in this area again, we will definitely make another stop. Highly recommend!
Did brunch here on a Saturday. It was wonderful. Their bloody mary’s come with an awesome fried pickle spear. The service and food was excellent. Definitely coming back again this summer.
Best outdoor environment I’ve experienced south of the river. Great food, vibes, music, pulltabs, bartenders and outdoor seating. Nothing better than the sun in your face and a cold drink in your hand. I’ll be back.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Friendly service. Great fried avocado for a starter. The buffalo wrap was tasty.The french fries didn't taste fresh they tasted like they were lunch fries which I got there at 130-2.
It was so fun to be on the lake, at sunset. Patio was lively and the band on the dock was excellent. Hitchville delivered, as they seemed to get everyone up to dance! We will be back! Oh, the lettuce wraps were excellent!
Had brunch here today. Service was excellent. Cinnamon roll divine but the spices were a little to much for Nordic stomachs
Service was very slow which is why I'm giving 4 stars 4.5 technically. We arrived on Saturday September 4th around 4 pm. We got seated on the patio right away. But servers kept passing by us. Confused as you now view the menu on your phone so we didn't know if we are suppose to order on our phones or flag someone down. They were pretty busy so we sat for a little while waiting to see what to do next. After a group that arrived after us got their drinks and appetizers we flagged someone down. Asked are we supposed to order from our table or what? She said oh it looks like I'm you're server. Sorry didn't see you guys... she wasn't the most friendly and of course we weren't told that we could only order certain things on the patio LOL. But we ordered tacos, Buffalo chicken sandwich I really wanted the Alfredo!! and my son got Mac and cheese. My Buffalo chicken sandwich was sooo good. Although not very big but it was nice and juicy and a perfect amount of 'spice' We did want mini donuts but once again you couldn't order them where we were sitting so we settled with the fried twinkies. Not as good as mini donuts would have been I'm sure but a nice treat! Overall 4.5 stars. Beautiful lakeside dining. Just slower service and confusing menus. Although it was our first time here so maybe we just aren't used to that way fo things. Would definitely be back and Hopefully we'd be seated where I can get the Alfredo ;
Spacious place with huge windows overlooking the lake. There weren’t too many people there but the service wasn’t great, would have liked our water refreshed, maybe some tartar sauce. That being said, the food was great. Both my friend and I had the fish and chips and it was wonderful, didn’t even need the tartar sauce that we didn’t get with it. The fries and coleslaw were also very tasty!
I don't normally give 5's But I really enjoyed my dinner experience at Charlie's. I had an awesome server that was engaging, communicative, and made sure my order was correct. The staff all seemed to work well as a team. The menu has a bit of a twist that makes their food unique, but not off the wall... Even after a busy day, the restaurant was clean. Definitely worth the experience...
Best walleye I have had in on 30 years. I don’t like batter on my walleye. The chef just pan fried it in butter and it came out perfect. So very fresh. Walleye is my favorite meal to eat out in Minnesota. Most of the time, I am disappointed. Thank you for making my night. The service was great too
