Unfortunately we have to write a review nowadays just to feel better after a bad experience at the emergency. It's a shame that quebec's health care system is the worst. Thus the behaviors of stuffs members. No empathy for the sick, they are simple there to check you in like a hotel. You sit and wait and wait and wait till you decide if you going to die in their waiting room or go back home. It's as if there's only one MD for 24hrs how do you explain a waiting time of 12-24hrs without seeing a doctor. Disappointed does not even come close to what i feel.
I went there without reading reviews, I told my situation, and they assess it immediately if i can wait for hours or not, which like every i was made to wait, but seeing my situation they keep testing my bp and fever, if situation anywhere gotten worse or better, after 9 hours of waitingwhich is expected i see a doctor and when she understood my situation and instantly things went 5th gear, i was made to feel comfortable and was given space, and they immediately ran further test and did what they should to give me best treatment at their disposal.. felt cared , listened to…of course time could be less, as I was thinking to go back home after 4 am, but seeing others coping with it, gave me hope, that someone would definitely attend me..and they did, and they did well…
I’d give ZERO if I could. I visited the ER last weekend due to extreme headache, dizziness and numbness and on the left side of my body. Pregnant at 28 weeks. They left me waiting for 17 Hours in the waiting room, they denied my a bed to calm my contractions even though they had 9 empty beds. I did not see ONE doctor throughout the whole night. I had so many contractions at the end that I gave up and went home. At 5:30 AM I had another attack who this time 911 brought me in. They still toss me in the waiting room, and I ran away to Royal Victoria where I was taken immediately and assessed for seizures..! Several doctors & specialist assessed me at Glen. As it looks a cyst living inside my brain… Can you believe they are willing to leave you there to die like that? They have no empathy no humanity, worst hospital in Quebec.
Went in with very clear signs/typical signs of appendicitis for my partner, he was in pain for 5 hours before we went into the emergency room. It took 14 hours to see a doctor who in 5 minutes diagnosed appendicitis and started doing blood tests. We found out during the wait time that we were put as a low-emergency on the waitlist, FOR APPENDICITIS. The surgery went incredibly well and the nurses were incredible, but the emergency room and wait time are absolutely ridiculous for something that is deadly.
One nurse rudely refused to speak English to me as the patient. At first I thought she couldn’t. My partner can understand French and she heard that nurse talking to her colleague. Her colleague was asking her why she doesn’t speak English to us and the fact that it’s not moral but she just dismissed her colleague. If I could, I would have fired the nurse and gave a negative 1000 as a ranking. 1 doesn’t do justice. She definitely made me feel a lot worse.
