Super spacious seating and nice ambience. The best place for Taiwanese dishes like the classic popcorn chicken. I also love the variety of vegetarian options available. I used to love popcorn chicken but then I decided to become a vegetarian so I always get the king mushrooms to substitute my craving of popcorn chicken. My two favourite dishes I alternate between are the vegetarian curry and the king mushroom on spaghetti. I always recommend Charadise when my friends are debating food places. I used to get takeout from here during university and I loved that they always included a free apple overall a great place for Taiwanese food. Vegetarian options: Love the variety of vegetarian dishes! Just as good as the regular main dishes.
Had the Atlantic Salmon Taco and Fried Beef Dumpling. Super delicious. The taco shell stayed firm and the flavours were just the right amount so as not to overpower the salmon. Lots of food options and can view pictures on kiosks before ordering. They have a good sized patio for Baldwin St. and it's shaded. While they don't take reservations for lunch, if you arrive early, you will most certainly get a good spot.
Overall: I liked the ambience, cute place and they had nice comfy patio. Have nice healthy options & ordering was very easy with kiosks. Food: I ordered spring rolls and mango teriyaki chicken bowl. I liked the bowl mango is too sweet esp with teriyaki sauce & spring roll was just okay have had better!.
Feature: environment superb, friendly for single, couple and party, very spacious. You can study all-day, have quick lunch, or cozy dinner Service: actually no service, order on machine, pick up food by yourself, so don’t tip Food: average, just normal Chinese food, but good looking
Perfect amount of food and taste. We had the Hawaiian and Spicy Crab Poke Bowls and they were great. They have lunch and daily specials so make sure to check it out! got the Spicy Crab Poke for $10!
Ginger Milk Tea and Taiwanese popcorn chicken, these are the two must haves when coming to Charidise. Got the popcorn chicken on rice, and tbh not worth it, I suggest just getting the chicken alone. The rice meal came with some corn and a hard boiled egg, a somewhat disjointed combo, but to each their own. Also ordered the squid on spaghetti - just meh, squid is always good but the spaghetti sauce was like cream, mushroom, garlic, sauce - not exactly cohesive. Lots of seating, so could see this as a great place to work or hang with friends.
Popcorn chicken and Ferrero Rocher milkshake were so good. Also really like the vibe there, nice decor, would recommend to come chill
I like this restaurant. Its unique and has a lot of options and flavours. Service has been great every visit.
I heard about this restaurant on Instagram where they were promoting it as a nice place to have Boba and delicious taiwanese food with a cool view of CN Tower! First of all the second floor was closed so we couldn’t grab the seats with the view of CN. Second, they have no servers, it’s a very big self-service restaurant, which you order food at the register and then you also have to grab your own food and bring it to the table. The food itself was not bad, but also not some thing that I’ll be coming back for. Very small portion as well Overall, if you’re looking for a Starbucks type of place to work/study, but want something other than coffee this might work for you.
Good taste food, comfortable air-conditioned during area. Self-service purchasing food but served on table.
