Great old school butcher with nice Hungarian and Polish products. The spicy sausages are excellent - anytime I serve them alone or as part of a dish people always ask about them. Also one of the more reasonably-priced rib steaks around.
I've been shopping here for more than 30 years, used to come as a child with my parents and now married with children still come to this great icon of st-laurent street. Joseph still remembers me every time I pass by. Meat always fresh
I came here today and was shocked that it was closed. This establishment, its owners, and its employees were truly terrific. It is truly devastating that a fire has forced the owners into an early retirement.
My dad has been going to this deli since the 80s. We're in Ottawa, and used to be able to do the trip very frequently. Now that he can't, I stop by every time I'm in Montreal and buy some meats as gifts. Anyone I have ever given sausages to becomes absolutely obsessed. You can't get this kind of quality anymore. Joe is amazing, and I look forward to seeing him when I go.

This specialty butcher is a real gem. Friendliest butcher I've ever come across, with great quality and selection of meats, as well as other condiments. I remember the owner giving me a little lesson on dry aged steaks the first time I was here and I've been hooked ever since. Highly recommend the Hungarian sausages.
I discovered this place when I moved to Montréal in 1974 and have been going there ever since. Great Hungarian sausages and the best rib steaks in town. Joe, their head butcher, who has been there for 60 years, is an institution. Lovely man.
Sadly closing its doors. Thanks for all the excellent years!
A real old-school butcher, who makes their own sausages, prepares meat. Have been a regular for 28 years, but they've been open for much longer with the same owners, 2nd generation is slowly taking over the operations, but have been learning the trade for easily over 15-20 years themselves. An institution for Hungarians and Hungarian-wanna-bes in Montreal. If lucky, you can get served not only in Hungarian, French and English, but German and Romanian as well.
