Big bookstore but very messy and busy on the weekends. I think they don’t have enough personnel to put away items properly, so there were a lot of products that were strewn around by mid afternoon on a Saturday. Two entrances, the mall and the outdoor parking area. Look out for deals around the store.
This is the absolute worst disaster of a bookstore I have ever seen in my life. I give it two stars because it at least had a large quantity, but I’ll be darned if you can find any of it !!!! Most of the kiosks at which one could search for a book were off with a QR code taped to the screen. Almost every shelf had books at odd angles, or put in spine-first. Most sections weren’t sorted alphabetically by author OR title, so you sort of just had to dig through the mountain of books piled haphazardly onto the shelf to maybe, possibly find whatever it is you’re looking for. We literally could not locate an employee to ask for help. Just being in this store stressed me out. At least the home section was organized, but who goes to a bookstore to buy a throw pillow ?? Judging by the other reviews, this isn’t just a today issue, and this store needs a serious change. I hope I can return to a better Indigo one day.
This is my place to buy business books. It has amazing selection and the service is just great. Totally recommended A+
They got Manga and Graphic Novel for all ages and gender identity. Hardbound and softbound. Omnibus, volumes, name it, they got it. They also have toy section, mostly for toddlers and kids. And, yes, Funko pops. Because why not.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The store has so much to choose from. Bruce is the best! Always a delight to see him when I'm there. He helped me find the best books for my dad's birthday and Christmas. We need more people like you around Bruce. Thank you for such wonderful service.
Shopping here is always fun. Very friendly staff. They'll help you find what you're looking for and let you know if they don't have an item. They'll soon have a coffee shop inside again which will be nice. I like to do my shopping in the mall, then go to Indigo and shop. Then I used to stop for a coffee. People will soon be able to get their caffeine fix. Best way to end a shopping day. Go find reading material and then have a coffee while exploring purchases.
Definitely the best location in Metro Vancouver, besides Robson. Huge selection of books. Even rare and hard-to-find ones not available online, I was able to find. Staff is always friendly, or mid. Not rude at all. Good selection of magazines. Line-up is always fast, even with a long line of people. Always a store to check out with every visit at Metrotown.
Place for the book worm, bookstore is becoming far and few nowadays, i personally prefer a book in my hand if i want to read a novel or technical details rather than online. It's because i have no pressure to concentrate on the screen as i can come back to the same without any effort. Too bad they closed down the Starbucks coffee inside the store. Nice to see kids are still interested in reading books inside the store.
I could not believe the state of mess this place was in when we walked in. Either they need to hire more staff at this location or someone is not doing their job. Everything just seemed to be in a disarray. Books were strewn amongst non-book items everywhere and it looked like no one had been on the floor re-shelving and/or tidying books for days. But what really shocked me was the children's section. It looked like a bomb had gone off. Toys were strewn all over the floor, some out of packages; you had to watch where you stepped. It seemed there was only one young lady working in that section and I overheard her bite a customer's head off when they asked her a question. What a gong show! This location needs to get their act together as I doubt this is the kind of image Indigo stores truly want to convey. What a shame. I felt like I was shopping at a Sally Ann Thrift Store.
A lovely place to shop for notebooks and planners for me, with eco conscious selections. However, there have been a few discrepancies that the online information isn‘t up to date with what‘s actually in store. I will keep supporting Indigo though. A real book store isn‘t replaceable.
