"Established in 1956, Champion’s Pub is tucked away a block from Oakland and North Avenues, on Bartlett Avenue. It’s a great place to escape the usual bustling bar crowds and hide out for drinks and conversation. It’s modest, real, and hassle-free. Champion’s is a great place to get a start on your evening . As a neighborhood pub, there are plenty of unique and friendly folks to chat with, or partner up for a game of shuffleboard, cribbage, Golden Tee Live, Silver Strike Bowling or grab a board game.Music at Champion’s runs the gamut, encouraging conversation rather than drowning it. Champion's is a neighborhood institution. If you're looking for a bar with a great vibe and friendly cast of regulars, this place is it! Bobby is an excellent owner who truly cares for his staff and his patrons. This is also an awesome place to watch any sporting event - plenty of TV's inside AND outside in their awesome backyard patio! Can't say enough good things about this place. Cheers!
Always a good time. Taking the covid seriously with goos precautions. I won't do drinks inside these days but there fire pit situation outside is outstanding. Think they should do more to promote that and maybe prepare to add a few more chairs if word gets out

Rediscovered Champion's; looking forward to coming back. Lived within walking distance for 12+ years and somehow only make it in periodically. This was my favorite iteration... service solid, still sports forward, townie/divey feel, AC cooling to heat, some off-street parking, nice patio and seemed pet friendly. Would recommend
Cool old dive bar with a big patio. Would have loved to write a great review but unfortunately didn't have the best experience. A few of us wanted to try the place out and spend money at a local business. Bartender and her clique of regulars made a point to make us feel unwelcome. Rude comments/insults and eye rolls when we tried to order drinks and buy apparel! at the bar. You would think they would be happy to have new customers, but we couldn't leave fast enough.
Nice local community bar. However, had the worst experience. Was with a friend visiting from out of town and we were both waiting to use the restroom. Long line at the men's restroom and not a single woman both inside or outside the establishment. I told my friend to just use the woman's restroom as it was a single stall locked restroom since it was an emergency. Upon exiting a worker there engaged my friend and shamed him and told us both to get out. Not sure this warranted such an extreme reaction from the workers. It's a single locked stall and not a woman there so this should not have been an issue, especially in an emergency. Won't return.
Play shuffleboard, grab a board game, or just watch the television and share a story with Tommy. It’s a fun place with a decent selection of taps and plenty of liquor choices. They have an AMI jukebox so you can download the app and play what you’d like. Bags boards out back and an outdoor television when weather permits.
The bar and patio are so cool! In a cool neighborhood spot and tons of potential. Sadly the bartender was rude. She and her friends were laughing at us and made us so uncomfortable we left ASAP. Never going back
