I recently dined at this restaurant with my boyfriend, which we have been excited to try. I must say, I was highly disappointed. For two of us it was not worth the price for two people. The brisket sandwich was nothing more than mediocre. To make matters worse, the Mac and cheese that accompanied it was not only cold but also flavourless. It felt like a dish that had been sitting out for hours. And let's not even talk about the saucy salad. It was anything but exciting - just a bland mix of greens drowning in dressing, so much so that I couldn't even finish it. To make matters worse, the lettuce pieces were massive, making it difficult to eat. I expected more from a place that charges a premium for its meals. All in all, this dining experience left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I won't be returning anytime soon.
First of all customer service is pathetic as soon as we went to order guy said he is out of burgers we realized it was 15% off on burgers that day when we finished ordering he said we just got burgers in stock again if we want to order them anywayz after looking at menu we decided to order Large platter so we can enjoy all the menu items. He asked in kitchen if he have ribs in stock, cook told him he have one last one so we are good to go. They had disposable cutlery which I don't appreciate they should reconsider it looking at their menu prices. If someone spending $200 expectations are different than fast food restaurants. Large platter comes with 4 sides we can choose any but when I asked for corn bread he said it's $1.50 more which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu, on the bill it was charged $3. Now talk about food quality. Ribs was literally chard fat and bones. Literally we scraped some meat from fat so everyone can taste atleast a bite of it. Cashier came to us and told us I know ribs is not enough we were out of it so I add some extra food in platter which I really doubted. He should have told us before that they are out of ribs so we can choose if we want to continue with our order or not since ribs was the most highest paid item. Anyways corn bread and hushpuppies was inedible. Corn bread was cooked on high flame just a lump of dough we had to throw it in the garbage.I cannot recommend it since it's not worth the money may be if they maintain standards of serving ribs portion size by weighing each rib and check quality of meat before serving to customers then it might have potential trying but for me it was my first and last time!
Great food. Good quality meet and prepared very well! I have given 4 instead of 5 due to the following: 1. It's a meat restaurant but they serve disposable plates and cuttlery. That gave a very bad impression and I highly encourage them to consider proper cutlery and crockey. 2. With so few items on menu which style I like how bad inventory management they can have as they were out of stock for short ribs on Sunday afternoon? Hoping to see the above addressed and I'll like to visit again.
This place is the reason I don’t want to do take out anymore. Food tasted ok but for what we pay you would expect the serving to be bigger. Never going here again. The serving of coke slaw fits on a fork and a salad as cheap as Cesar is a sad serving. Not worth the money paid.
Great service and tasty halal BBQ near the highway on the trip back to Toronto. The platters are a great way to try out the different BBQ options.Food: 5/5
The service was excellent. Went as a group and everyone came out satisfied! Oddly, in a good way, everyone loved a different item. We got the large platter nut customized it normally feeds 4-5 but we had 6 with 2 big eaters. The meat is 100% halal. It has a smaller sit down area with tables, but I can see it filling up quick. Brisket was one of the best I've had, and same goes for the ribs. Would love to see a food truck at festivals selling a short menu of the food served here. It is right off the 401 so located in a great spot. They have other GTA locations! Dietary restrictions: Halal Parking: In a plaza with McDonald's, Starbucks, Holy Shakes and a ton of other great places
I have been going to Chainsmokers in Milton for the past year. Our family are very good customer of theirs, going evey weekend to enjoy our fix. I noticed a change and not for the better. Tonight I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich combo, comes wiith fries and slaw. Normally, we get a large chicken sandwich and a white container for the fries - where two people could enjoy. Well instead of getting our regular, we got this small serving of fries - where I could go to McDonalds and get more for a small serving. The chicken sandwich was much smaller than usual and it was completely dry to taste along with no sauce on it. When I questioned about the fries, I got the response, that is how they are now. Well, let me tell you this, if you are going to change your menu where you are giving much less than what that customer is used to, then your prices need to come down as well. It is extremely disappointing to see this. Guess I am looking for another place to enjoy my weekend food.
My special thanks to Hammad and Pranav who entertained us though they were about to close the restaurant. Thank you! This Halal BBQ is a very good addition to halal restaurants. Service is good and so is the ambience. Taste is good too. Just tell them clearly if you need spicy, hot or not spicy at all and they do their best to accommodate your needs. Please don't expect perfection as nobody is perfect. Try different options and then you will experience a range of tastes. Thanks!
Chainsmoker is an authentic urban Halal BBQ spot serving one of the best Halal beef and chicken burgers in GTA. Their Insta famous “TRIPLE A BEEF BRISKET” is surely worth trying. Their dishes have a fusion of flavors, spices, and aromas for an epicurean experience that's second to none! They offer a family-friendly dining experience that is perfect for all ages. From classic favorites to unique regional specialties, their dishes are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Chainsmoker is all about the journey from the first juicy bite to the last finger-licking finish.
Great with flavors but it would be better if they’re generous with their sides of coleslaw and pickles-coleslaw being served in the same small cup being used for sauce is not cool. We went twice for the short ribs but they were out of it. Definitely should keep decent servings for the evenings as well! Went there twice for ribs in evening and they are out of it. Macncheese with crispy onions is a plus, very innovative and loved it. Brisket sandwich was top notch although chicken could be better-we found it dry not juicy.
