Chain O Lakes Bar and Grill

Excellent indoor/ outdoor restaurant in Waupaca. It has a very local flavor but a solid menu with little fanfare. The outdoor seating is very nice with sun or shade to your liking. I recommend the prime rib sandwich. A hearty slice of Prime rib cooked to your liking on delicious Italian bread. My personal favorite.

Salmon and fish tacos were awesome. Walleye pieces were so tiny, kind of pathetic - tasty, however, the 2 of us who ate it had stomach cramping almost immediately when we got home and into the night. Terrible!!! It could have been pan fried in old grease or something wrong with the fish. Please look into this so no one else gets sick. Service wasn't that great and the outside area is completely dark. We needed flashlights to read the menu. Lots of drunks and smoking at the bar outside. Not ideal. Kind of disappointed. Last time we were there, it was good!

Where do I begin? We were sat at a table with no silverware or ketchup, appetizer was delivered without its sauce or plates to eat from, Tuna steak was dry with a weird texture and flavor, hub's burger was thin and overcooked according to how he ordered it. Baked potato came with no butter and sour cream was an upcharge (so was the dipping sauce for the appetizer, apparently), and our soft drinks ran dry and weren't refilled until requested. Waitress barely checked in with us and seemed like she just didn't want to be bothered with any of it. Really disappointing. Beer battered fries were tasty though.

Painful delivery time. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get my food and still had to pay full price. Then I was told it was my fault for using their new online ordering system because it's new and I should know better. Thanks delivery guy. I guarantee I can cost them at least 1000 dollars in business a month with word of mouth. See ya.

quite possibly the driest burger i have ever gotten. i ordered it medium in hopes that I would be juicy and warm when I got it but it was dry and cooked to well done and it was barely above room temperature. the only saving grace was the beer battered mushrooms, which still tasted quite good even when cold.
